here here,,without moe you would not have had the 3 stooges,,MOE WAS THE DRIVING FORCE,,RIP TO A REAL INNOVATOR,,LOVED EM ALL,,,STILL DO IN 2013,,,WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT 60 YEARS HENCE,,?
One of my favorite Stooges episodes. I did this the other day with a room full of people and not a single person got the joke. It was a tough room! LoL. That's what I get for wasting a great joke on a bunch of twenty something year old kids. 😂
Vintage, classic Stoogies. Either you have an appreciation for comedy from this era, or you dont. I remember when certain tv channels would have 3 Stoogies marathons for the weekend. We'd kick back and vegitate watching these shorts in their entirety. Lots of laughs!
Rest In Peace to all six of them. They were comedic geniuses. Nowadays we only have crude sexual and body humor. The Stooges had their own style and they'll never be forgotten.
I remember watching this as a child and it did leave my mind that is how funny i found it to be, the next year I happen to see it again and for the next two years I happen to see it again. Yes I do remember this, Thank you for uploading it ;) Photographic memory.
Drew Carey quoted this on the "The Price is Right" today. It was after a contestant identified as being from Rancho Cucamonga. Drew repeats "Rancho Cucamonga! Slowly I turned, and step by step, inch by inch..." Google search brought me here and now I'm a better person because of it.
The author of the original sketch was burlesque legend Joey Faye. He was asked to be a guest on "Make Room For Daddy". to performed the original sketch with Sid Melton playing the 3rd banana. Joey Faye helped many show biz Greats in their careers.
Thanks to Perry Neel and Mike Crawford who hammed it up on stage, and a special thanks to all the Hemphill classmates that supplied the laughter. You are real pals. What? Wait.... What did you just say? Pal? Pal? Did you call me pal?
hahahah excellent ive seen it many many times, larry at the end mistakes the script and says "inch by inch" while moe says "step by step" hahahaha 3 genius!!!!!!1
I had to look this up because my mom keeps asking where my daughter went on her class trip and everytime I tell her, she says "slowly I turn, step by step". My mom has Alzheimers so she doesn't know why she says it but here it is. Too funny.
the first time i saw this i died laughing then the second time i thought about doing this with my friends in the next talent show. I thought it would really get the audience going! you know except someone getting hit and getting their shirt ripped. :)
Watched several 3 stooges episodes last night... so despite their foibles, these guys run numerous businesses (often moderately successful ones), are constantly the objects of beautiful women's affections, brutally beat motherfuckers (including hardcore gangsters) and are always receiving thousands of dollars from dying relatives? I just realized why I live such an erratic life!
@RomanideCarpathia It was Abbott and Costello who stole from them. This skit came out in 1943 or '44 and the Abbott and Costello show did not come on TV until the '50s.
This is a great sketch, but I always thought it was an Abbott & Costello sketch. I'd never seen the Stooges do it until today! It's definitely in one of the A&C movies. Bud and Lou are in a cell (maybe a sheriff's cell - it's probably one of their westerns) and Lou's on the receiving end of the violence. The person who reacts to "Niagara Falls" is a cell mate who they talk to. I think the dialogue and actions are very similar in both. I wonder which came first - A&C or the Stooges..?
Classic Vaudeville sketch :) I love this one. (Oddly, though, Curly flubbed a line. He said that "I say 'Niagara Falls ... Eeek!" Moe said that and hit his own trigger point. Abbot and Costello did this sketch very well as did Lucille Ball on "I Love Lucy". Then, a year or two before Moe passed on, he revived it with Mike Douglas :)
Hilarious. "And just because I say Niagra Falls-" "NIAGRA FALLS!" LMAO. Also at when Larry does it and then at 3:37. Poor Curley is sucj a punching bag. But I bet they had a blast doing this though
On this day in 1975 {May4th} the great Moe Howard passed away at the age of 77...
May he R.I.P.
I live in Pittsburgh PA and Everytime I go to Niagra falls i think of this on the whole trip, truly a great classic
I'll remember this for the rest of my life I'm 62 now
I used to watch this clip all the time when I was younger. My favorite. Thank you for this
That was hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NIAGRA FALLS! slowy I turn step by step inch by inch!
This has got to be my favorite Stooges skit of all time. Love it.
This is, and was real comedy. The Stooges are timeless. And a true American treasure.
I do this when someone says Niagra Falls. Thank you for posting it. I was able to show someone where it came from.
The best of all time. The stooges are forever.
The Three Stooges were so brilliant! The gags, the choreography, the amazing timing and brilliant lines! No one can replace their talent ever.
This is my favorite classic skit
This will always be a classic in my book. Niagara Falls! Slowly I turn, step by step inch by inch.
here here,,without moe you would not have had the 3 stooges,,MOE WAS THE DRIVING FORCE,,RIP TO A REAL INNOVATOR,,LOVED EM ALL,,,STILL DO IN 2013,,,WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT 60 YEARS HENCE,,?
Easily the best version of this skit i have ever seen!

14 year old watchin this, may not be normal anymore but hey, I grew up to this and I find it funnier than all that stupid drama they now have on tv

One of my favorites.
classic! the Three Stooges, beastly trio. :)
Those guys are classic. Too bad they don't have offspring to carry on the legend.
Moe had three children...
The author of the original sketch was burlesque legend Joey Faye. He was asked to be a guest on "Make Room For Daddy". to performed the original sketch with Sid Melton playing the 3rd banana. Joey Faye helped many show biz Greats in their careers.
Larry does a great Billy West impression
Joy!

Curly does a Perfect Turkey Imitation at 3:00.
It's great :)
I am NOT going to be able to handle Niagara Falls without thinking of the Stooges!!!
great taste.. i grew up on this and tom n jerry..
I love this bit, and their version is my favorite.
the stooges not really known for spoken comedy.
this is a refreshing change.
That Turkey noise Curly makes at 3:00 is hysterical!
"NIAGARA FALLS!!", LOL I''m an old Stooges fan...
Boy they were terrific!
Beware, never use this word in front of the Three Stooges: Niagra Falls.
NIAGRA FALLS! Slooooowly I turned...........
And step by step... Inch by inch...
thought I had lost it today at Niagara Falls when slowly I turn, step by step inch by inch was running thru my head, lol
Thanks to Perry Neel and Mike Crawford who hammed it up on stage, and a special thanks to all the Hemphill classmates that supplied the laughter. You are real pals. What? Wait.... What did you just say? Pal? Pal? Did you call me pal?

NIAGRA FALLS. SLOWLY I TURNED... and realised I'd never heard their voices in English before. Shame on me! They're big legends.
I love the part where they start screaming about the rivers of blood & then laugh maniacally. XD
the first time i saw this i died laughing then the second time i thought about doing this with my friends in the next talent show. I thought it would really get the audience going! you know except someone getting hit and getting their shirt ripped. :)

The best fucking Three Stooges episode and clip ever.

This was just on TV, I didn't know this was done by a bunch of comics, the only time I've ever heard this before was in I love lucy
I love the part on the ground where curley with larry goes on the ground and goes bababababa
Classsic Vaudeville routine used by the greatest!
omg...lol...I love this one! Soo Funny! ahahha....
This is the best skit ever by the stooges! Who knows the name of the episode?
On the last part, Larry said inch by inch, inch by inch
I'm pretty sure I've heard this was an old vaudeville sketch that preceded Lucy, the Stooges and Abbott and Costello.
There's also a clip of this routine on an episode of I Love Lucy
Classic!
3 guys did this at my school talent show

Larry also flubbed “Step by step” at the end and went right into “inch by inch” We used to laugh about that as kids and would say “inch by step…” 🤪
Did nobody catch Larry's big slip-up at 3:47? "Inch by inch...step." It's hilarious!! Was this performed in front of a live audience or something?
+SiblingVlog Yep, Larry goofed up on the script.
At what time of the video?
Near the end. Plays it off like a pro.
Or his ill-timing on 'slowly I turned', with Moe.
larry messed up he said slowly i turned inch by inch
