Iron Pineapple either way, the controller does vibrate. and since i place my things on a glass table most of the time, i could really hear the BBRRBRRBRBRBRT
5:17 I just want to say that this has been driving me insane. I knew the audio clip was from an anime other than Naruto. I've been thinking about it on and off since this video came out. I'd lie awake at night sometimes with "JIBUU WO" playing over and over in my head. Almost two years later I am re-watching Code Geass and think "My God, that's it." Now I've spent my evening watching OnlyAfro videos trying to find this moment, to leave this comment, which no one will read. But that's okay. It is 2am, 22 months later and my mind is finally at peace.
I use this on my tank to great success, mainly due to it's low profile. Not many people know what it does. What amazed me is 0:54 that guy knows what it does but doesn't swap to a non-magic only damage weapon and continues to spam dark magic, HE KNOWS WHAT IT DOES HES USING IT!
Imagine the confusion normies must feel seeing their favorite 2020 mainstream anime waifu appear in a 2014 video, completely oblivious to the depravity of 774.
This spell is the major reason why i started adding 27 strength to all my magic builds long ago, man-serpent greatsword buffed with lightning pine resin is a real life-saver when fighting faith magic users.
I also really dislike when people run away. You got a bad matchup? Woop-tee fucking-doo. Learn to deal with it and do your best to work around the sharp edges. What are people seriously thinking sometimes? Is it always satisfying to get a easy kill? Don't they want a challenge sometime? Also AFRO, will you be doing a farewell Dark Souls 1 vid or??
noisenoize Not if it's an accepted, unofficially official dueling area... like the first bonfire of Oolacile Township. A community established dueling zone like the Oolacile bonfire is essentially formal dueling -- *because everyone goes there and invades or waits to be invaded specifically and solely for that purpose* -- and people that run away in these dueling zones when they're losing and/or hide behind mobs are low-skill asshats. They're just wasting the host's time. A proper invasion is when you invade someone that's otherwise engaged in PvE. And I agree that in *those* situations, anything goes. But invading at the first bonfire of Oolacile Township, or the Kiln of the First Flame, or in the Undead Burg (with a high SL character), etc. is not going to be one of those situations 99% of the time. *Any veteran Dark Souls PvPer already knows all this*. Anyone dumb enough disagree on this point is basically just declaring that they're a clueless scrub at DkS1.
You must be a complete noob to Dark Souls (which is amazing, considering the game has been out so long now) if you aren't aware of all the organized dueling in Dark Souls, and the places where people go to do it. It's only EXACTLY WHAT'S BEING SHOWN IN THIS VERY VIDEO. Notice how Afro doesn't go anywhere else to fight in these clips? It's because he's literally doing nothing but standing at the bonfire, waiting for invaders, whom are doing the same god damn thing, because this part of Oolacile is community-accepted as a specific zone for dueling.
noisenoize Nothing is being forced on anyone. By all means do what you want. However whether you accept this or not Dark Souls has a "community" I was watching a fight club the other day and some random invader came in swinging like crazy because either he didn't care to see what was going or didn't know what was going on. The host and the other phantoms jumped him because they obviously had a organized gig going on. You don't HAVE to follow the community but you sure as hell will be punished for it, sorry that's just how it is man :/ And like chedder said, There are certain dueling areas that 95.9% of players are familiar with. Those phantoms new EXACTLY what they were doing. They EXPECTED a duel, however they just decided to do whatever because of great magic barrier. I understand what you're trying to saying dude, truly I do. But please also try to understand what we are trying to say.
I started my first majorly int-based build (magic weaponry, spells, etc); with magic as my only means of attack, I got fucked up by magic barrier a couple times and my only option at that point was to turtle the buff out. Since, I've learned to carry a couple nonmagic weapons offhand, but there are times when being defensive and hoping for the best are your best bet
When I'm dueling somebody in a "formal" duel, if another invader jumps in and starts attacking me before I'm done the other duel, I immediately switch to attacking that guy, and the guy that was dueling me before that 9/10 times jumps in with me and kills the guy that interrupted our match, hehe. But yeah, you'll be punished if you attack a host in the middle of a match in progress, and stuff like that.
That second invader (the one spamming dark bead and doing pathetic damage with the moonlight greatsword) really needs to learn how to PVP like a non-mouthbreather.
Malcolm Reynolds No idea what you're talking about. 40% of the remaining community using the exact same meme build is an absolutely essential part of the Dark Souls experience.
Your so cool OnlyAfro. I use your glorious Giantdad build and usually win most invasions because scrubs can't git gud and lrn2p. THE LEGEND NEVER DIES.
I love seeing scrubs who think they can solve everything with dark magic get rekt. You are so kawaii as always Afro. Also please do more stream on twitch. I would love to watch you reking things be it arma dark souls or anything
It would appear the naruto_fan 1234 name was already taken. Nonetheless, you make Havel proud for putting those filthy Dark Magic plebeians in their place.
some nights ago i was invaded several times by a guy using only magic and the moonlight sword and butterfly horn this thing made me feel bad for him until it weared off
GOD DAMMIT! I've had a lot of trouble with dark magic users (or rather magic users in general) when doing PvP, and now I have to restart the entire game to use a PvP character that can use this strategy, seeing as my main character is a strengh-pyromancy build.
5:18, When that Naruto guy invaded you played one of the Code Geass openings if I heard it correctly. A bit strange to play that song for his name I would think to myself.

+Davide Carrea Seriously underestimated weapon. Absolutely fantastic for Faith or Int builds. A faith/int hybrid with just the 20/16 required and like 30/32 faith/int can just cast Darkmoon Blade and Great Magic Barrier with Wolf Ring, and maybe throw in TWoP for good measure; and just run up and 2handed R2 spam till dead. Easily THE most satisfying way to win in the game (the 2h r2 i mean) And since the game considers it like black flame (a.k.a. part flame damage and part physical damage) it will do especially high stamina and poise damage when it hits. And the base weapon is just the same as a Claymore with the only drawback being no stabbing R2; and 480 base damage is NOTHING to sneeze at especially for next to no str/dex investment. (you need a full on 40/28 quality build just to get that exact 480 base damage on a Claymore!! is it worth wasting DOUBLE the stat investment simply to get a stabby r2?) And not to mention it can be buffed...that's just the icing on the cake; a Darkmoon Blade+2 buffed Obsidian GS+5 has well over 600 damage rating

By the way, your profile picture. I want it.

I like how Afro always represents Dark Magic with dubstep.
Not just dark magic, edgy behaviour in general
lel
the scythe with crystal magic weapon looks like a toothbrush
5:18
*naruto_fan1235 appears*
And then, the first opening of... Code Geass XD
Haha, I knew it was familiar, but not from Naruto.
5:18
I do not understand why a Code Geass opening fits here, but we shall not question Afro Senpai.
I think he was being ironic with "lol its anime"
Agh, Code Geass. What a show… *sniff*
That 3 man ganker party.....how disgusting.
Back when armor, poise and resistances mattered. And when you couldn't get oneshot by a crystal soulspear after using GMB.
This is why I always found pure mage builds funny, they never know what to do when their only method stops working.
"Dex side-arms? What are those!?"
Bubble wrap armor OP.
Dark Souls > Naruto
wake up america
You've gotten pretty rusty, Afro-kun.
I guess I have, it's hard going back to viable builds after playing around with joke builds for so long
Have to break the giant dad peasant drug sometime *****
Imagine the confusion normies must feel seeing their favorite 2020 mainstream anime waifu appear in a 2014 video, completely oblivious to the depravity of 774.
"Naruto Fan"
*Plays Code Geass opening*
LOOOL
High class trolling.
I like how the video had images of Nagatoro before the collective unconscious came to recognize her.
oh I can't wait till Afro plays Dark Souls 2, what fun and misery will happen to Afro?
I hope he doesn't on the console, or im gonna be sooo spoiled. PC MASTER RACE all the way 25 april blaze it.
Yiulias I should have waited for Dark Souls 2 to be on Steam instead of pre-ordering the new Thief... nu blaze 4 m3
Yiulias But he plays on ps3 no? Wouldnt he get it for that?
"Filthy Magic" huehuehue
So filthy, I LOVE IT.
I started using Great Magic Barrier recently as well. I've fallen in love with making the silly magicians cry.
My Str/Faith build has been my fav for a while. Lots of Dark Bead babbies in the forest lately
1:45 Nagatoro 10 years ago? Man was ahead of his time
>me afk

maybe he was using a controller......huehuehue.....get it? (afk=away from KEYBOARD)
I felt like such a weab when that naruto kid showed up and I immediately recognized the code geass op you used for like a second.
That guy who gives the only dislike be my friend

Sad but I'm kinda interested to know .-. God I'm weird

Casul: Dad, can we have DS3?
Giantdad: No, we have DS3 at home.
At home: 2:44
I just remembered at 0:10 you can hear a girl yelling in the background. it is the same yell in Dark souls 2 when you open secret pharros wall :D
I hate it when people invade me and just turtle and run away. You came here to fight right? Stop running away!
"Infiltration will save EVO 2014" bruh

Not enough Giant Dad/10
"Infiltration will save EVO 2014"
Holy shit my sides are in China.
this is such a well edited video haha it cracks me up every time I hear that tiger sound during that first background
The pursuers do physical damage, so since you are wearing a lot of armour + magic barrier, you win.
All the little chidrens trying so hard. It's kind of adorable how they throw a tantrum when you take their sorcery toys away from them
Can't fucking wait for more dark soul Shenanigans in DS 2, NON STOP GLITCHES IN THE FIRST WEEK
GMB OP Bethesda pls nerf
HE HATES IT!
The real mystery here is this:
OnlyAfro uses the face of Nagatoro, a girl from a 2017 manga (0:59 and 1:45).
This video is from 2014.
HOW.
The artist has been drawing her since at least 2011.
I also really dislike when people run away. You got a bad matchup? Woop-tee fucking-doo. Learn to deal with it and do your best to work around the sharp edges.

I got whiplash seeing Nagatoro in this.

Depicting dark magic as dubstep was a fucking gold idea.
The Kaiji part totally killed me XD.
You're the best Afro~

Carlito Cerveza Goddammit, I knew the artstyle would be similar somehow. So it is the loli artist 774 lol
we expect the never dying legend to return afro, this time in dark souls 2
Equivilent to smacking someone dressed in riot gear with a wiffle bat.
Interesting analogy
That second invader (the one spamming dark bead and doing pathetic damage with the moonlight greatsword) really needs to learn how to PVP like a non-mouthbreather.
shoulda rocked that Spell Stoneplate Ring for ultimate magic def
Afro!! Ready for Dark Souls 2, bro?
Ready for your fans to shit up Dark Souls 2, bro? more like
Malcolm Reynolds
No idea what you're talking about.
40% of the remaining community using the exact same meme build is an absolutely essential part of the Dark Souls experience.
Malcolm Reynolds If you aren't able to kill Giantdads with ease, then you are not ready for Dark Souls 2
BroWithTheFro What're you on about
BroWithTheFro ill never forget getting summoned to the forest 4 times to the same 2 giantdads. Got rekt
You're doing it all wrong, you need a mommy mask.
Verily, I did love this video, even though I had little idea what was happening throughout. Hurrah!
Oh my god I freakin' lost it at "H-Hornet ring: 1"
Hahahaha.
Your so cool OnlyAfro. I use your glorious Giantdad build and usually win most invasions because scrubs can't git gud and lrn2p. THE LEGEND NEVER DIES.

he's gonna stream some Dark Souls 2 on Wednesday
Get Gud
it's funny how they are willingly using magic after they see you use great magic barrier
I like how everyone either ran or went for backstabs...
I'm surprised there is a Nagatoro image at 0:59 when the manga was released on 2017
>he doesn't know
It would appear the naruto_fan 1234 name was already taken.
Nonetheless, you make Havel proud for putting those filthy Dark Magic plebeians in their place.
Wow, glad to see I'm not the only one using the Mura
HOLY SHIT WAS THAT SECOND GUY USING SEEK GUIDANCE O_O
Girl at 3:33 is from Kaichou no Iinari if you're wondering.
I have my sources.
You've done a service to the world.
do you also know the 9ne at 1:45
+Nicolas Villanueva No, I don't, sorry.
Nagatoro saga
lol my favorite is how the kid who you backstabbed did a "Well What Is It" in a 3v1 gank fest. BAHAHAHA
Why is oolacile township such a common PvP spot if everyone just runs through the gauntlet and forces you to chase them?
Defiantly a lot more magic rejection ablitlies in dark souls 2. I'm happy since dark magic is still there.
Lmao as a Street Fighter addict, I enjoyed the "Infiltration will save EVO 2014."
some nights ago i was invaded several times by a guy using only magic and the moonlight sword and butterfly horn
this thing made me feel bad for him until it weared off
GOD DAMMIT!
I've had a lot of trouble with dark magic users (or rather magic users in general) when doing PvP, and now I have to restart the entire game to use a PvP character that can use this strategy, seeing as my main character is a strengh-pyromancy build.
This video is so good lol I keep coming back to it
At some point in this game i just mained a faith build just for great magic barrier. I got tired of getting 1 shot bij sorceries because of lantency.
Murakumo devours poise for breakfast
5:18, When that Naruto guy invaded you played one of the Code Geass openings if I heard it correctly. A bit strange to play that song for his name I would think to myself.
NOOOOOO MY MAGIC you are a monster afro destroying my dreams of a magical world
Chaos or Lightning weps are a good backup, but, you know, split damage... Obsidian Greatsword wonderful from this point of view. I simply love it: low stats requirements (20/16/0/0), good damage with no investiment, fantastic moveset and no split damage. Also, it can be buffed.
Definitely one of my favorite weapons.
With no doubts.
This became my favorite video when I heard "Infiltration will save Evo 2014"
"naruto-fan has invaded" Code Geass music
Afro's knowledge of Dark Souls builds is as vast as his collection of smug anime girl images.
excelent soundtrack, you are a artist
Ah, I remember OnlyAfro, the funni sound effects man :D
Jaunty Gumption is by Kevin Macleod according to google
When playing a mage , ALWAYS have a backup elemental weapon
lol afro i love these epic memes you add to your videos xD
holy shit, afro uploaded something
In order for Infiltration to save Evo 2014 he would have to mercilessly stomp Chris G in every single game.
When I PVP with mage character I always use chaos or lightning weapon Jesus. He's very formidable.
Cool vid.
Your amount of souls seems quite legit
