- A 6 episode series is coming soon!
In early May 2023, I was commissioned by the Norwegian Public Road Administration to cycle part of the Eurovelo 1 route between Bergen and the Arctic. The plan was to hop on and off the Hurtigruten, Norway's famous coastal liner, so I could experience as much of the coastline as possible during the 8 days of travel.
I had a cameraman follow me all the way, which resulted in some incredible footage and will take my editing skills to another level. The 6 episode series takes you beyond what you know about this coast as we dig deep into the culture, history, and incredible natural world. The first episode is coming soon. This is not to be missed and way too good to be free on UA-cam!

Awesome! Looking forward to seeing it. Currently cycling from Lindesnes to Trondheim and than south to Oslo and further. And we are loving it!
Looking forward to this! :)
This country could not have dreamt of a better ambassador than you, Matthew. Thank you so much, looking forward to this!
Oh, and yes, having just covered geology for a semester (I study geography), I can safely say the history of Norway's formation history is incredible, as are the things the glaciers have left behind. Kettle holes (and half kettle holes, where one half was cut into the rock and the other half into ice, and only the half cut into rocks remains). Giant boulders in the middle of fields, so far from mountainsides that up until the 1800s people were convinced they must have been put there by trolls. Rivers that ran uphill. Also love your observation that the valley is alive, that's such an excellent way to put it and I'll make sure to remember that.
Great comment thanks for sharing - geology is awesome! If I could go back in time that is what I would have studied at University. If there is one place you must visit in Norway then it's Norangsdalen. The valley is a geologists/geographers dream location.
Thank you for creating such beautiful content. Allows me to appreciate my eldest son's adopted country.
Looking forward to this series!
Me too, it’ll be great 🚴♂️
Wow! So beautiful and so well done. Really looking forward to this series.
Wow! I can't wait. Looks like it will be amazing.
Oo oo oo! Yippee! Thanks, Matthew. Looking forward to this! Very best wishes from Devon.
Epic video! :)
Ah yes, expectations are running high - no pressure though, because the country and the cycling will do the job for you. Many thanks- and am looking forward to what will come

"... and way too good to be free on UA-cam!"
(And why I pay for UA-cam premium! - not that you probably get much/any. )
Do you have any advice or recommendations for bicycle/sykkel repairs and services in Norway ? Recently most of the local shops in Drammen have changed their 'customer service' to only supporting bicycles they have sold. Thankyou

Short, but sweet. ❤ The cinematography was, as usual, captivating and phenomenal. The beauty in Norway is just incredible.
These episodes should air on NRK, you are amazing Matthew!
Really nice filming!! Breathtaking nature, thanks for sharing!
Love your videos❤
Brilliant! You have definitely turned your videography up to 11. Thanks!
Epic
In a time when so much of the online world is all about disingenuous promotion and money schemes, it's awesome to find creators like you who are truly passionate and make works of art. So, thank you!
We're doing a road trip from Tromso to the Lofoten, and we've spotted the EuroVelo 1 signs all over the place. But not only the signs, the amount of bike packers is amazing. Looking forward to this series!
Good to hear people are cycling in the Arctic!
Amazing, can‘t wait😃
Awesome.
Can't wait. 😎👍
Two more weeks and maybe I'll visit some of these places. Three weeks by bike around Scandinavia, I will definitely reach Norway :)
Que pais lindo! Belos lugares, sempre acompanho seu vídeos! Parabéns pela dedicação!
Good one coming up!!
Nice and look forward to it, can you do an updated video going through your new bike and bag setups? Also what Rapha jacket is that?
Hi, Bag set up is on the list of videos, but I must focus on this series first. Google - Rapha winter jackets. Rapha rain proof explorer coat
Hey guys this is amazing, we are planning a 7 days bike trip to Norway, may I ask your for your route ?

Hi Matthew great inspiration. I only noticed now - any reason you dont use rain fender guards with all this wet?
I have fenders on my gravel bike but not on my road bike. I usually don't take my road bike for bikepacking but wanted speed on this trip (I had a lot to film).
That looks epic, cant wait! 🚴 🌄🏔
This is top quality content creation! Brilliant! So very much excited with what’s to come, being showed, once again, about this jaw dropping country I wanna call home one day 🙏🤌
