It never ceases to amaze me how Isaac grew up to tell the same lie that Abraham told regarding Sarah lol. As for the remainder of the story, I remember hearing a sermon on this “well” situation with Isaac. It’s amazing to me how people will be upset with you simply because God‘s grace and favor are upon you wherever you go. It’s true what the Bible says: if someone is jealous, they can kill you. What I love though is I heard a sermon once that talked about Isaac building the altar after God spoke to him in a dream. Following that acknowledgment and sacrifice, the people came and asked for peace. I don’t know what a modern day altar would look like, but if God were to give me a promise, I would like to know how to build a modern day altar to him as a symbol of my receiving the promise, a sign of my gratitude, and as proof of my faith. Lastly, when it comes to the story of Jacob and Esau, I always feel conflicted. I know that Jacob was mentioned as the son who the promise would be fulfilled through even from birth, but it’s the way that it happened that always gets to me. The deception always throws me off. Sometimes I just think to myself, why didn’t God just make him come out first to avoid all of this? lol. I also hated that Rebekah played a role in this. Nonetheless, it was all a part of God‘s plan. So we have to accept it. Maybe it was necessary for character development so that Jacob could accomplish all that he was intended to do? Just reflecting out loud lol. Thank you so much for this episode and ministry!
They made war in the womb. Perhaps then, already, it was actually Isaac who was to come out first, but ended up following Esau. I'm think out loud, too😅. Whatever happened, God exactly knew what to allow and what to do. Thank You Great God Almighty🙌🏾
Hey I think I seen a video like this on another channel it was kinda nice as this one thank you so much for the post the other channel was called lion’s kids
Im not fully understanding why Rebeka asked jacob to quickly fetch livestock and have him bring the meal to his father. Is it that she knew or felt that esau wouldnt make it back before his father passed, and wanted her husband to have peace of mind? Or was it more so she favored Jacob, it took the opportunity to have him blessed?
