- The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom: It’s up to Zelda and her wisdom to save the kingdom of Hyrule in a brand-new story in The Legend of Zelda series. The people of Hyrule are being stolen away by strange rifts that have appeared, with a certain swordsman among the missing. Team up with the mysterious fairy, Tri, and use the power of the Tri Rod to create echoes - imitations of things found in the environment. Then recreate those echoes whenever you like to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. Use echoes of water blocks to reach new heights, make bridges out of old beds, throw rocks at foes - or find your own creative combination of echoes to do things your way. You can even create echoes of monsters to fight at your side in combat. Join Zelda in her quest to rescue Hyrule when The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom launches for Nintendo Switch on Sept. 26.

One of the best game titles in the history of Zelda.

I can't claim that I came up with it, but I've already seen "The Legend of Zelda: The Missing Link" multiple times, which I think is pretty good.
That smile when the logo came up and he fully realized what he was looking at -- that was genuine joy, and I felt the same. Love it.

To be fair, that's also what they did with Tears. They saw all the stupid broken stuff speedrunners of BotW managed to do and said "what if that was a mechanic?". like on the record that the devs watched creator content and were inspired to do a lot of things because of them
They are finally giving Zelda her own flowers 🌸 with her own game.
Hopefully it's not like the last time she got her own adventure back on the CDi.
I mean the games are titled after her so it’s all her games

Saw this elsewhere, but insane that production for this game flew under the radar until now. And we only have a little over 3 months to wait? Incredible

Im just glad they didnt make zelda "female link" and actually allowed her to have her own identity. Love the "summoner" aspect to combat, and we see 3 other d-pad slots so maybe she'll get other rods for other kinda spells and stuff.

I gotta say I love watching the reaction videos where people go wild but I think I love more that we can tell you care enough to actually watch it. Also "Link fell into the purple" cracked me up.
I hope they find a way to manage the echoes that doesn't involve scrolling through 40-80 discrete items before finding the one you want

Nintendo's genius never ceases to amaze me. How they constantly reinvent Mario and Zelda games is amazing.
I’m going to point out that this feels like the successor to the oracle series. I feel like the seeds of knowledge got reworked into the echoes of wisdom because Ganon is reminiscent of the oracle games and the oracle series got released on the switch online.

I loved the look on your face when you realized it was a new game and that Zelda was the protagonist.
I love how creative they are getting with The Legend of Zelda. First Tears of the Kingdom and now this? The game design is crazy. I just love that they are giving players all the tools and freedom they need to explore the world.
This comes out around my birthday. I’m so excited. I’m playing links awakening right now and a lot of your videos has helped me get through some difficult challenges absolutely loving this new format just gives link to the past vibes.
I have this (Link's Awakening) sitting here and haven't played it, forgot I had it until now, and am thinking of playing it before this new one comes out. Is it good?

Strangely, I thought the exact same thing? I have zero hangups playing as Princess Zelda, but we require some degree of consistency.

My son and I took turns playing Links Awakening while following along with your playlist on the tablet! It’ll be SO FUN to do that again! It’s the perfect type of game to bond over like this!

It finally happened my players!!! We finally have…. A Legend of Zelda game. For so many years we had the legend of Link games, but now we got an official Zelda game!!!!
I'm so excited to finally get to play as Princess Link. We've been playing as Zelda in his dumb little green hat for way too long.

So couple things I noticed are that the amount of echoes you can create is dependent on the amount of triangles Tri has floating behind it which makes sense to have a box echo instead of 2 table echos stacked or a bed instead of 2 tables next to each other also enemy echoes seem to have a time limit as you can see them flash yellow and I’m hoping this game has a build your own house function like Animal Crossing where you can add things you find to decorate also I’m interested how there’s 2 types of Zoras in 1 game and if the and if that was Impa that took out the enemies at the end

okay i know everyone are talking about zelda being playable, but can we also talk about how cool and creative it looks?? its giving me the same exciting potential as the wall-merging mechanic in a link between worlds, coupled with the lovely aesthetics of the links awakening engine. seems really fun!!

Rewatching this trailer and noticed there will be a limit to how many echoes we can summon at a time. The fairy Tai has a tail composed of triangles...and ever echo Zelda creates, reduces Tri's tail by one segment.

I still love and adore Tears of the Kingdom more than Echoes of Wisdom due to the freedom, building vehicles, exploration, enemies, sky islands, depths, shrines, lynels, gathering resources, cooking, zonai devices, graphics, the Fuse, Ascend, Ultrahand, and Recall abilities, things to do in this game, pristine weapons, the things to discover in this game, especially the all-new Infinity Wing from the flight minigame on Eventide Island that is infinite unlike the other zonai wings, koroks, building your own house, the quests, bosses, and a true watercolor painting come to life. Tears of the Kingdom says it all: it’s one of the best Zelda games Nintendo ever made. But still the way you can play as Zelda in Echoes of Wisdom is sick and OP at the same time. There is a mod where you can play as Zelda in Tears of the Kingdom, but you still don’t get the abilities Zelda gets in Echoes of Wisdom.
This game comes out on my birthday. I play Zelda in Smash, and have been dying for a playable Zelda since Skyward Sword. Feels like they made this just for me. It looks so good, I'm beyond hype.

I'd love if the emphasis on environmental puzzles opens up the possibility of some level of dual gameplay in future 3d titles with link and zelda offering different paths along the same adventure like the oracle games
Imagine fighting using an echo of a lynel or a gleeok!
The moment I saw this and understood the "echo" dynamic, I imagined the conversation the devs had about a new game and bet it went something like "How do we do TOTK in 2D?" It seems to me that echoes are nothing more than dramatically simplified Zonai devices that require no assembly. They're essentially pre-made. It's a very interesting approach to Zelda that I never saw coming.
I had no idea I'd be as excited as I am for another 2.5D Zelda title?! I loved the Link to the Past remaster and this looks even better. I was a little bummed we heard nothing about Wind Waker & Twilight Princess remasters, but this will certainly do. Well done, Nintendo! 👍
To those worried about the classic Zelda fighting style being absent, you know this game will have a Sheik section, or maybe a New Game+ of Sheik.

Beyond excited! And confused - Link's Awakening art style and some LA enemies (Darknuts looked very LA-y?), A Link to the Past world & Ganon, but then there was a Gerudo woman and both kind of Zora? Dekus and Sheika? Looks insane!, can't wait!

This game: play as zelda with the ability to summon anything, constructs, undead, creatures, that Inn you passed... Everything.

I've been thinking... What if there's more to Echoes than the copies Zelda creates in the trailer? I mean, this trailer contains Zoras..but newer and older versions. Link charges in with a blue cloak ala BotW/TotK but that is set far into the future. Link is also sporting the iconic Hylian shield but that first appeared in OoT and, based on features own the overlord, we're presumably in the Hyrule of ALttP/ALBW. What if Echoes have a double meaning? What if, Echoes also refer to iconic characters/items but from somewhere else in the timeline? Echoes of their former/future/alternate self?
And this takes in the same timeline A link to the Past!
