    If i have a bigger converter on a stock tune, will this cause a shake, shudder/misfire vibration at idle and while driving?

      Sounds like you are getting some knock, possibly associated with TCC lockup? You have to change the point at which converter locks up. I am having this issue, trying to figure out how to tune it out.

    All you did was show what the TCC is doing. Nothing about shift pressures or how to adjust them.

    I get it for peformance of a dig a torque converter is great because it will get me to whatever my power band is but it ends there I mean can I assume it would be useless if I am roll racing since I will just be forced to downshift and hold the rpm's whether it's high or low until I see the signal and go full throttle?

    I’m a cheap diy hotrodder/drag racer/tooner for my 01 chevy pickup. What can I do with the shift pressures and shift timing? This thing HAS to shift. Should I peg the pressures and set the shift timing to 0? What’s acceptable

    I’ve got a 2018 Silverado tuned with an HP tuner and occasionally I get a jerky 2-3 shift. Is that something that can be fixed or is it characteristic of my truck?

      Yes it can be smoothed out. It has to do the shift pressures/torque management.

    So I have a 05 hummer with 40” tires and my TC lockup keeps unlocking and locking due to the amount I have to press the gas sometimes to maintain speed on the highway… can I change the perimeters to get it to stay locked up..?

      Before doing anything else you need to correct for any wheel/tire size difference from stock. That is likely the reason its giving odd shifting problems. HPT software allows for tire/wheel rescaling so the TCM can determine the correct vehicle speed.

    I've never played with the electronic transmissions with lockup. If you were running something like a 3k+ stall. Could you program it to lockup before shifting out of 1st gear (where engine rpm and cars mph were closest) so it drove more like a stock car? I just don't understand what is truly possible with this new stuff.

      hey mate you can command the convertor to lock up and any speed and any gear at any load

    Im having trouble getting my 4l80e right at wot. I trys yo lock up right before it shifts at wot. It is great normal driving. Tho. Im lost

      HP Tuners put out a fix for this on some operating systems. There are WOT tables that need to be unlocked to edit settings properly. You may need to contact HP Tuners to have your operating system supported for the WOT converter tables.
