Cee im with you. I dont remember how Thrift Shop goes either lol. The American Dad episode with C'lo is my favorite one. Steve goes in on that "Daddys Gone" song. I remember the superbowl skit. I was a Jr in high school lol. While most of society shunned her, all of us high schoolers where like YES 😳! I saw Ashlee's as well when it happened on SNL. We where all laughing at her and I called it then "career over."

Kidd: You are absolutely right. A lot of music now a days are be called Hip-Hop but is more Hip-Pop or straight out pop. That is why a lot of people from my generation is hating on this stuff. Janet should not be on this list. That was an unfortunate thing that happened on tv. People need to lay off her. finally, you and Cee keep up the great work.
Janet made the rock n roll hall of fame after Les Moonves of CBS retired due to sexual assault allegations. He was head of CBS during the Super Bowl and he helped spear the campaign against blacklisting Janet across media.
Regarding Janet.
Yes, he was supposed to rip her top on the word “SONG” so that we would see him reach and pull and then the light cue cuts out on song. So we would have seen nothing but him reach and pull. It was supposed to be suggestive. However, Justin pulled on “END” instead of “SONG” leaving her breast exposed for 9/16th of a second on live TV.
Then his punk ass ran to the media talking about “we just want to give y’all something to talk about” 👀 which pissed Janet off and they didn’t speak for years until they made up some time later.
I really don’t know why this is even on the list. Yea, her career was diminished a bit but she’s released 4 albums since then - all of which STILL went to #1 with NO promotion and sold out tours (like the one she’s going on this year) - so Janet is doing just fine: she is forever unbothered and I’ve always loved that about her. That’s the difference between someone born in the spotlight vs those who weren’t who are forever trying to stay in the spotlight. 👏🏾
