I LOOOOVVVVEEE this look❤❤ 😍😍😍 I guess it the love of ribbon I have but I wish you would have added a beautiful 4 inch unwired red velvet ribbon I know you should use wired ribbon but the beautiful drape of the loops and tails of the ribbon would be breathtaking and only place them at the three points where the garland attaches to the banister and the bow at the bottom I would have the tails a little long to create a beautiful cascade
I’d suggest making a narrower garland for a ribbon that dainty so that the garland wouldn’t over power the ribbon but compliment it. Technique is the same but use 9 inch base garland and I’d guess 1/3 of the picks ❤️

Oh my goodness....just found you today when the UA-cams suggested something you had done - where have you been all my life? You are SUCH a hoot, so much fun to watch and listen to, your work is absolutely inspiring and how in the world do you not have at least 2M subscribers??? Your videos are fantastic and probably the most entertaining I have ever seen. (Maybe I just share your humor and totally sit here saying YESSSSSSSS to all the things you are telling people about why things don't look right). I was lost as what to do next after creating an enormous fresh greens garland thingy on my balcony this week - the base layer - and after watching a few of your vids I re-grabbed the mesh ribbon I had tried earlier and hated, made me some triple bows and looped them in...and voila! But now I need more in diff colors...Anyway, thank you for the kick-start! Now binge-watching all the Christmassing instead of sleeping. Cuz this is way more fun.

Hi Jeanna, couldn’t sleep( up since 4 ) and discovered your channel, so binge watched and just subscribed!🥳. Am I to understand from a previous comment that you are originally Canadian? My takeaway here is that even if we can’t put as many picks etc into our decor it’s so easy to adapt to our specific needs. It’s the lesson that’s important, not the budget. I have Hallmark decorations that I’ve collected for decades and will always use them BUT I’m going to apply ribbon, picks and larger baubles to freshen things up a bit! 🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦

When I look at the old Victorian house the staircase always had a gorgous lantern at the base of the staircase with candles at first and eventually electric with the old push button lught...no I am not that old to remember but have seen it many times on videos. Wouldn't that be great. If I built a house I would definiatly do it.

I’m impressed and maybe a little confused. That was a lot of picks and work. I broke a sweat just watching. Math isn’t my thing but that’s probably about 5 or $600 worth of picks not including the 15’ base garland which was definitely not the cheap one that we all have. So now we have a $700 base garland that’s not even decorated. Don’t get me wrong it’s not about the money and I am obsessed as those ugly kids would say but why do I have to spend 2+ hours putting it together!? How come no one sells garlands like that already made!?
Lol! Your math is off but this was meant to inspire and adapt as it suits one’s tastes and budget. Or at the very least entertain you (which I think it did 🙃)

I love her design, but she probably spent $1,000 in picks. Buy two garlands, double them up. Then add in a fourth of the amount of greenery picks
I love it! You did exactly what I think Jeanna wants, you came up with an affordable solution for your budget. She’s here for inspiration and she makes me laugh with every video.
However, 2 base garland @$76.99 ea = $153.98. Plus 106 picks x $12.99 ea = $1,376.94 (I couldn’t find the mixed pines used in the video so giving the lowest priced ones on the website as an example). Not sure how much went into the lights, but if my calculations are close, you’re looking at over $1,530.92 for the garland before taxes. Like you, I will also have to find a more budget friendly alternative, but now I’m inspired!

Too many picks and too many different types. The garland is too humongous for the scale of the stairway. That much bulk detracts from the very nature of a garland which is a graceful drapery. What you've go here looks more like a shrub thats been trained to grow at an angle. There is a point where abundance is diminished and less is more.
