3 Fire Starting Methods To Consider Adding To Your Outdoor Fire Kit

- These techniques are great to know, especially if you plan on being in the backcountry for extended periods of time.
The ferrocerium rod will last for thousands of fires and is very easy to use.
The fresnel lens conserves all your resources by using the rays from the sun to your advantage. As long as you can harvest the materials from the land, you will have fire indefinitely, so long as the sun is shining.
Flint & Steel is a traditional way of starting fire that goes back a very long time. A steel striker will last an extremely long time along with the hard rock once you get a proper striking technique down.
The BIC lighter and matches are great. They're a first choice for emergency fires but aren't near as fun and won't last near as long as the methods shown in this video.

They're awesome skills to practice. I'll say this...........This video was tough to film alone. I'm sure you can relate. Thanks for watching, my friend! 👍✌️

Excellent, comprehensive overview! Perhaps a useful future video to compliment this one would be a video specifically focused on tinder-both natural (cattails, birchbark, fat wood, etc.) and man-made varieties, and preparing bird nests and so forth. Nice work!
Great idea. I'll add that to the future video list. Thanks a lot for watching! ✌️
That kit looks quite complete gonna give it a try, nice video
It's a great kit! You won't be disappointed! If you check out my "New Bushcraft Gear" video I put out recently, it shows the complete kit!

Отличное видео,спасибо.Использую тоже все эти способы розжига огня.
Thanks a lot! I appreciate you watching. It's really enjoyable to practice different ways of fire making.
@@awayinthewilderness4319 Yes, that's right! I can do better with flint and burnt cloth than with a ferro rod))) I haven’t tried it with iron wool and a battery yet, but this is kind of a survival story)) Practice is 100% necessary, the more often, the calmer you will be. I had PVD when I was with my wife couldn’t light a fire at all and a psycho set in. The mood deteriorated and he went home. This should not be allowed in any way. But this is all in a more or less simple life, although my country is now at war with a brotherly country. And there will be a situation even if nerves are not to hell, You will suffer 100% defeat. For the PVD!!! )))
@@RomanPepper 100%...... I pray your family stays safe.
@@awayinthewilderness4319 Thank you! So far, everything is more or less normal. I am in the depths of the country, although drones fly to my city. I have a bad attitude towards war. Tomorrow at the next PVD we will cook, I think the familiar dish “Chili con carne”!!!
@@RomanPepper Chili con carne sounds great! I'm glad you're safe. I believe the vast majority of average people have a bad attitude towards it. Unfortunately we have people in positions of authority who don't care about us or our children. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers. Rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places.
