I love that u talk about yum dinger. I think some people overlook it simply cuz its cheap. It stands up on the bottom unlike a regular senko and it's a lot cheaper.Thats pretty much the only senko I use

They’re two type of fishermen..There’s fishermen that fish with a bunch of different poles and enough tackle to start a small fishing shop and there’s people like me that only needs a couple of packs of senko worms and 2 packs of hooks while catch 3-7lbs bass on the regular with one pole.

I pretty much stick to one box per type of bait. I don’t see the need for more than that because down here in florida you don’t need a ton of colors. The basic colors, green pumpkin, black blue, June bug, watermelon red, that’s it. In other baits I stick to shad and bluegill color patterns since that’s what the forage is. For topwater, bone, white, black, clear. If you stick to these you won’t have 40 to 50 boxes o& baits and lures and have no idea what tackle you own. Fisherman focus WAY too much attention on baits versus learning bass behavior to locate fish. Once you find where the fish are located they will usually hit a variety of baits. Catching bass actually is that hard, finding them however …

It makes perfect sense that a black worm would work well in clear water. Leeches can be quite dark, even black in color. Many fish eat leeches. They also occur in a much lighter color very similar to green pumpkin. I imagine plastic worms in those colors mimic both earthworms and leeches.

I did exactly what you suggested…I emptied each one of my over crowded Plano boxes and organized each one by color and then made some tough keep or cull decisions on baits that have just been riding around taking up space. The way you feel about watermelon red is the same way I feel about junebug red, and I won’t even hardly throw a straight junebug. Sorry for blowing up the comments lol

LOL We all have to many plastics. When I first started fishing tourneys back in the early 80s. I had a boater kid that most guys show up with a worm bag and I had worm "Baggie" with 2 packs of 4in.
Jersey rigs. Nowdays I have a worm suitcase 😅 .

Hey bud I have watched a few of your videos off and on, I finally subscribed!! I did not realize that the Yum Dingers had less salt, major duh moment for me! I'm impressed with how much you carry in your bird! I had a 721, but in a stupid moment sold it in January of 2020 for a center console. That crap lasted a year, bought an 819 in January of this year, so far I love it, fishes great, rides good and once I get it dialed in a little better if flies for a sub-20 footer. Curious, you fishing the Central Opens? I'm signed up as a co for the Red River and Rayburn. Good luck and keep making videos.

When im using sticks, i always prefer dingers. 4” green pump/purple or ghillie suit is deadly. Tubes I go with dry creek, zman trd or berkley.

I've used senkos covored tons, I mean tons of water varied retrieve an pause like I do with all my soft plastics an lures an haven't caught a single fish. Lately I've used plumb colored soft plastics all year long covored tons of water an caught alot of bass. The red just seems to draw fish in. Also I've used a more natural smoked shad color with blue Grey with silver an blue sparkle an bass have crushed those as well. Now all I ever used is smoked shad that has silver an blue sparkle with blue an Grey color an the colors amazing looks like the color of an actual fish the plumb is amazing too. These are the only colors I used. If water is stained I've use black an dark purple color that works great.

Finally got a couple packs of smoke/purple Berkley Flat worms... I am wondering if they will outfish/replace a lot of my Senko or General worms. We shall see.
Motor oil worms never really stopped catching bass... trends change but I have caught bass on Motor oil worms well over 20 years...maybe 30?
