Nice work taking it out of erg mode for those 1’ intervals on the first bike workout! I started going no-Erg the last year and noticed a benefit from it for sure! 💪🏼
Hey Simon! I’m training for my first 1/3 iron duathlon in June and I find your videos so inspirational. Thank you for sharing your journey with us! Have you considered a video where you get a blood panel done and talk through the results with an endocrinologist? I think this can be beneficial for people getting into endurance sports by knowing what deficiencies are common with the sport and how to remedy these effects. Thank you and best of luck :)
Thank you!! Best of luck to you!! I had one blood test done through Inside Tracker. I found some of the results useful. But mainly focused on a good diet when training very hard! :)
Carbs, different types of proteins (steak, beef, chicken, fish, eggs), veggies (different colors like beets, green beans, orange-red-yellow peppers, carrots. And just eating a lot ;)
Hi Simon!. I always see that you use your diamond tt bike to do your indoor trainings and probably (I’m assuming) that you use it too for outdoor training too as well. Does this impact negatively to your carbon frame?. Any recommendations to take care of carbon frames?.
Good video Simon and a solid training day. I'm not sure if I remember from any of your previous videos, but do you have a coach or are you putting it all together yourself? Just curious. Keep it up and I look forward to your first race of the year. Where will your first race this year be?
Thank you! Hope you have a great day! It’s all about selling yourself and building a strong personal brand online. And meeting lots of people to discuss opportunities!
Any tips to reduce the saddle burn indoors ? I’m up to 4 hours on long rides and my ass is killing me haha (weather is shocking here in Scotland just now)
Ahh. Well I have tested different saddles in my 3 years of biking. And also my bike fit. I’m very comfortable with my position and definitely took a lot of time to experiment with different saddles and bike position. I don’t use any cream “down there” too much
It is kind of complicated. I went through the USAT points system. Where in 2021 I got 2 races with 300 or more people of 104.7 points or higher and qualified through that way.

I feel stronger outdoors when I train with erg mode indoors. I think it’s because it’s harder to keep the power using erg mode.
Thanks 😊
Yeah. I can feel the difference and definitely made me stronger when I go outside

Yes! I do use Dimond. I’m not sure if it negatively impacts it. A carbon bike is meant to get ridden
I clean the frame from time to time if it’s dirty

Thanks! I do have a coach! She writes my program.
I will be at 70.3 Oceanside and then Ironman Texas to kick off the year! Thanks for following along!
Hey Simon hope your day is going good! I was wondering how you went about getting sponsorships?
Thank you! Hope you have a great day!

@@SimonShi cheers dude
What did it take for you to earn your Ironman pro license? It’s confusing how that process works

Do you drink coffee?
I don’t. No
@@SimonShi no coffee?
