Hello, what are you using to put the charging port back on...the torch or soldering iron?
hot air
Thank you!
I did what you did and I got it all back together but Idk what you're using to put electricity back into the battery? Could you tell me what I need to bring the battery back to life?
Jonathan Thorsen I just had to make sure it was soldered correctly.
I like the video but I wasn't all together sure what was going on in the soldering and desoldering process.
Great video, Sorry if I missed it but what temperature do you set on the hot air station and what air flow speed (low/half/full) for the charging port?. Thanks.
He said 450 degress and I would do low.
Ok Thanks :)
Great but you didn't show how you placed the soldering on the changing port and as well there is a metal cover at the back you didn't explain if we have to remove it or not .
Why do u have to amp up the battary?
can you use a heat gun for this repair?
yes, but use a small nozzle
have you heard of the charging port causing speaker cut out problems with these models? mine still charges. wiggle charging cord and corrects the speaker problem.
and its not a cord problem..speaker intermittently works with no cord plugged in..used different cords
possible , i know the speaker connector its near to charging port, so that can cause the issue. Check the speaker connector
Wont the torch burn the board
no
Is this a micro USB port or what?

Hi I like your videos. I wish that you could have removed the cover on camera...... I would have loved to see that. Great video though, thanks for sharing your knowledge!
hi, which cover?
Thanks for answering! (you really didn't need to) It's just when you remove the top cover around 1:43. We don't get to see the tool you use or how you use it. No biggie though. I liked the video!
