ohhhh I LOVE the idea of building a home inside a bird cage!! And yes, building to what looks good is far less of a struggle than building to scale. I have troubles having to measure first, I like to measure after it's already built, lol
As I was leaving Paris last year I found a bottle cap on the sidewalk and I plan to make a pie plate out of it soon. I've seen it done before and it's adorable! I like how the edges are already scalloped.

I just love old wooden spools! It was fun to finally use them. As soon as I can think of anything else to make with them I'll be posting, nothing spool-related at the moment, but I'm uploading a twig bed in a couple hours :)

Wow now I know what to use those spools for ❤ . I.use the little creamer cups for garbage cans, and bottle caps for pies.
