Four whole months!!! Oh my goodness. You are soo lucky but I'm sure you've worked for it. So close and yet so far. I'm over in the UK. I hope you have the most wonderful time. Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 You've done so much for the viewers you really deserve it.
🎉I really enjoyed this, like a great trip down memory lane! Especially when you were showing the pages of the big book. I have made a special journal, and one of the best pages is a quilt block that my granddaughter & I made together when she was 5 yrs old. She's now 18! That is my favorite page in the entire book! 😊
Hello Sharon! First of all, I wish you and your boyfriend a safe and happy trip to France! Second, thank you for making this tutorial on how to make a Tiny journal! I love it! The larger journal that you made for your daughter is lovely, and very thoughtfully done. She will love it! You have inspired me to make a Tiny journal, and I will use Tea dye instead of coffee dye, because no one drinks coffee at our house. Thank you so much! Also, I have found your new channel, and subscribed to it! Have a lovely time in France! ~Janet in Canada
Speaking of sewing on paper, I'd love to mention that I've made many signatures by sewing up their spine on my machine. I use the longest stitch length, so as not to weaken the paper. But also I like to sew parts of the paper in my handmade journals without thread, on a very short stitch, to leave a perforated line. This is good for my working journals where sometimes I want to tear out a page to make a shopping list, or to give my phone number to someone, or something like that. I sew perforations at least a quarter inch away from the spine so that losing a page won't break the integrity of any other pages. Then I can perforate a page anywhere I want, to make the size of tear-off sheets that I like. For someone who doesn't want to tear away parts of their journal, it might still be fun to use perforations to create texture on some pages. I can imagine a fun heart outline perforated or sewn with bright thread, embellishing the center of a page.
Such a cute little journal. I'm making several to put in crackers for Christmas, I know, but have to start early! Have a wonderful time in France. I lived there for ten years, it's a beautiful country, enjoy. Hugs from Victoria in England 💐🇬🇧😘
Such an inspiring video, Sharon! Your daughter's journal is a work of art and I am sure she will cherish it always. Your trip sounds so exciting - what an adventure, a genuine once in a lifetime experience! I have subscribed to your new channel. Safe travels!
So excited for you! Paris wow. Can't wait to see all the little things you save for your journals the fabric and papers you will collect how lovely. But be also prepared to suddenly stay there for an extended time. Maybe God is taking you there to a better place to weather the storm that is coming. Or to come home unexpectedly. Consult Him and He will lead your path. Go Live where ever God takes you. How fun to live in this moment in time. I wish I was going somewhere
So happy for you!!! Can't wait to see the new adventures! Stay safe and hope you enjoy your holidays, you truly deserve it! ♥ P.S. Such a neat idea for this video, thank you so much for sharing! I wonder... will you be taking Gnomey with you for your adventures? Maybe he can write a story in this journal! Imagine that!
Enjoy your trip, Sharon! Stay safe and embrace all the great exploring. Maybe you'll find some treasures to bring back for the doll treehouse and gnome home! :)
Great job! This is so tiny and cute. I just made a 2x3 inch book a while ago. My binding isn’t the greatest. I wish I would have seen this, before I did mine. Congrats on your upcoming trip to France. We went to Paris in 2019 and then took the train to Italy. If you get tired of walking, the train is a great option! Don’t forget to get good medical insurance. Have a great trip.
So thankfull you are going to take us with you, and so excited for all the things you will explore and you know you have a special eye for pretty things. ✨🍄 Wish you wonderfull time there 🧡
This is amazing 😍 the way you showed it looks so simple and pretty. I'm definitely going to make one for my daughter too. Thank you so much for this video and have the most wonderful and memorable trip to France. Safe travels! I subscribed to your new channel and I can't wait to see the videos. Love and light! 🙂💜
What a brilliant adventure you are about to set off on! I’m so jealous! I’m looking forward very much to seeing videos of your travels. I love the little journal. I’m about to start making my first ever journal so this video is very well timed.
WOW! I'm watching this on May 6th! I'm gonna hop over to your new channel & see what Paris looks like! I've never traveled outside of The States but it's definitely on "My Bucket List!" This Tiny Journal is Magickally Stunning!!! I adore that teny tiny tag you made! I love the Journal you share with your Daughter! The themes & everything about it makes me think of me & my Daughter! She was born on 9/11/01... The very day planes were crashed into Twin Towers in NY! She'll be turning 21 in September!!! Enjoy your Trip! ~🙏💙🙏 Much Gratatude, Erica 🙏💙🙏~
Such a cute little book, thank you for the tutorial. I hope you and your boyfriend have a wonderful time in France. 800 kilometre walk sounds incredible💪 Bon Voyage ✈
Congratulations on stepping out on a new adventure! I recently started in the rabbit hole of junk journaling and love it. I use old (usually children's) books that are destined for the landfill as the base for mine. I have a few to keep through videos and such on my channel.
Ohh, I have several friends who have made that trek! It was a beautiful and fun array of posts so I know you will love it. I can't way to go along with you. :-)
Oh my going to France!! How fun that will be. Always wanted to go but doubt I'll ever be able to. I'd want to spend a month just exploring the Louvre too old to make your trek. I went mountain climbing when I was younger and we only did 54 mile's in 7 days, but it was one of the most fun things I ever did in my life
How exciting your trip sounds! I wish you a happy and prosperous (gathering journaling materials!) trip! Such adventures you and your partner are going to have! Be safe, be cautious, but never too cautious! Where's the fun in that!?! Thank you for the tiny book tutorial. It's perfect for me as I love everything miniature and I love books!
I love your journals with all the tucks, flaps and layers. It adds character and dimension and the surprise element as well. Thank you for the video, it was so fun to watch 😊
This video inspired me! Safe travels! I look forward to your new videos and your safe return! If you see any gnomes while abroad be sure to get their photos, grin!
Hi, I hope your journey in France is going well. To think I'm just a train ride away and cannot make the trip to see you makes me mad. Lol. I hope to see a video soon!!! Lots of love from the UK.
That's funny, I heard you say "dead-air" that is a radio term! Were you in radio! I used to be a DJ. So I haven't heard that in years.... love your journal!
How exciting! I subscribed right away, cannot wait to join you on this trip! Thinking about the coffee stain you are applying with a q-tip.....could you throw some rubbing alcohol in to speed up the drying process? 100%? Or maybe 50/50? You would have to mix smaller amounts and keep it covered when not in use but....
Because normal scrapbooking is mostly acid free items, and junk items aren't, and coffee is acidic, I asked one channel about the coffee stained stuff and they said they added some baking soda into the coffee to neutralize it . Haven't heard of using alcohol but that's an interesting idea.
All the mushrooms on the desk I made. The smaller ones are done on video with the stick pin dolls, a couple videos back. The larger ones made off video but I’ve made similar in previous videos. Those would be foil, masking tape then paper towel.
Omg Sharon..how exciting!!! U need to fill us in on this boyfriend first..where did u meet him..how long u been together..ect ect..this is all new..so tell us girl!!..what does dad think about this? 4 months?? Wow oh wow..I’m so happy for u..safe travels and stay safe..may God watch over u and get u back home safely..I loved junk journaling after that lil one u made years ago..I haven’t made on yet but when I get set up in my she shed,I will…oh Sharon what news..Lol..this is exciting!!!congrats..I’ll b right there with u..❤🙏❤🙏
Really? It’s edited at 100% volume which means it should play normal on your end with you being able to adjust the volume. I can’t check now, I’m at the airport about to board..
@@WhereTheGnomesLive I hope you brought a travelling gnome with you to photograph on your trip !! I took a small lightweight Yoda backpacking with me and took photo of him on trail markers and at every campsite. At first other people made fun of me but eventually they got into it and helped pose for photos, or photo bombed me. He was the group mascot by the end and was heavily featured in the slideshow of the trip. I also made sure to journal each day of the trip, where we were, how far we hiked, elevation we were at, other highlights of the trip.
It’s okay, I’ll be uploading everything I have to UA-cam when I get back to Canada. I had no idea it would be this difficult. I’m did pay for data but it is way too expensive to use it to upload videos so I’m using free wifi when i get it and uploading short videos to ig when it allows me.

I've loved junk journals for years, and I also love miniatures, but I've never seen anyone do a miniature junk journal before and I am just ENCHANTED!
I share both these hobbies too! I wonder how many of us are out there
