@@AlgoCompSynthwe have developed the ios first because it was easier for us. If we will see a demand on apple devices we would like to port it on Android too. We are small company with limited resources. We also have some cool ideas for potencial future updates so stay tuned!

we are not doing it because we don't want to make it available to Android users or because of fanboyism. Making apps on Android around music is much harder and we would have to put more resources into testing which is already a lot of work for our developer. @@superultramegarobot

Pretty sweet one can record their own IRs on iOS. The feedback and resonance reminds me of NoInputMixer and AAS Objeq.

You can use it on an iPad. Android version is highly unlikely, ios is the platform for making music, very few devs making music production apps for android, very few musicians using android to make music
@@GavinskisTutorials Koala Sampler and Andrew Huang's FLIP are comparable music tools both available on Android. Hopefully this will soon be too.

We have update on the android version. Basically we are waiting to see what demand will be on ios and we will port it to Android potencially. We are small company with limited resources and making it for ios first was easier for us

I don't have acces to an iphone so I can't use the app directly at this time. However, I do note that you say the IR's can be used in various DAW's.... I would be super interested in making use of the IR's other people create. I don't know how easy it would be for Bastl to monetise that aspect of things, but I would happily pay for example a pack of IR's I could use in Ableton. I have to say, this app sounds super cool and it is such an original idea that I did not see coming!

The whole idea is around the interaction of the speaker and microphone that sits right next to each other so we don't think it would work well with external microphone
About the auv3 it is possibility in the future. We have some cool ideas for future updates. We will see what reception it will receive
@@bastlinstruments slightly odd way around if you ask me. No offence to Android users but it’s absolutely nothing whatsoever like Android. What I’m suggesting is that iOS is “serious” enough that many will wait for something that appears might never come. One could use files app, an instrument or mic multiple times - Still I’m no businessman
If this is written in Swift there is a tool called Mutata that will port it to Android relatively pain free. Looks like another lovely piece of app goodness for the Apple munchers
It's not only about porting that costs development time. Beta testing, support, and marketing are also something we have to count on and we are a small company. We would like to port it to Android but we have to see if people are interested in such an app so we will see how it all will go
Hope it has external mic support. I have the Hear app and it’s a mofo to get anything but the internal mic to work with it.
We have some cool ideas for the future updates. It is possible we will implement such feature. It is matter of demand at the moment right now.

We developed the iOS version first because it is much easier. We will see what demand for app like this and if there is we will port it to Android too. It is metter of priorities at the moment

Will this ever be anything more than standalone? I hate to sound spoilt but surely it stands to reason? I appreciate it is great on its own but now so many people have it/will have it, I want to stand out from that crowd of so many people……if that makes sense 😂 iOS is plenty powerful enough
Seems more like a production tool, so standalone makes sense. It seems to rely upon tight access to mic and speaker, so as an AUV3 might complicate things depending upon how the host manages audio I/O
@@voltijuice8576 I wouldn’t expect the app to function quite as it does in standalone. I’m no longer annoyed by it as I was originally - I realise, one way of looking at it is of course, it’s meant to be whatever it’s meant to be. To be honest, my misunderstanding not to mention hopes from the app, went even further in fact. When I first heard about the app, in my excitement I thought it was able to record externally in the sense of external noises/sound (not just a file player) , so I thought it would be natural to suggest the ability to do so whilst used as an effect capturing instruments as an AUv3. AUv3 or not, I thought perhaps I’d at least be able to build up some kind of layered loop with multiple sound sources. Still, on the bright side I’ve realised how easy it is to do all this in AUM. I’d say I’m lazy, more than anything. I know next to nothing about technology, I just have ideas but very little patience 😂
As usual, Apple gets first dibs....still , at least they now have to use USB C connectivity so they aren't getting their own way with everything.
It was easier for us do develop for iOS. We will see what demand is for app like this and maybe we will bring it to other platforms. We definitely have some cool ideas for the future updates
@@bastlinstruments Agreed, apps are easier to write for IOS and more secure etc etc. It's just unfortunate that Apple products being so expensive, sometimes ridiculously so, tend to leave a large number of users, dare I say, the majority, unable to enjoy the innovative apps that companies like yours and others develop.

Ok last moan… I have a feeling this will take a long, long time or perhaps never will become AUv3 so count me out. It’s far too much of a ridiculous oversight for it not to be deliberate and therefore it was never intended to involve it’s full audience in what would have been a far more accurate “test” I can only assume they are working on something else for iOS…..Something which may also involve the inside of an iPad?
We are a small company and we had to choose priorities in the development. We have some ideas for updates but first, we have to see if people are interested in the app. We can confirm we do not work on any other app of any sort. It took us 2 years to develop this one.
@@bastlinstruments That’s fair enough. I’m simply saying that there are a good number of people in the iOS community that are put off from buying for that reason - it’s obviously a risk you were willing to take. No matter how great an app appears if its connectivity is nonexistent then they tend to wait. They are not Android users and their expectations are much higher in this regard.
