  • This is a short clip of a beautiful piece of crystal clear water a good friend and I fished. It was a hot day and the trout were taking off the surface. This was a very good trout and it scoffed down the large Dry Fly without hesitation.

Nice video. You should get a gopro hero 4 session, cheap (for an action cam), easy to use and films in great quality (1440p)

I remember this day so well. Started off poor due to high water levels, but perserverence, a bit of delving around, and hunting out various sidestreams and new water, it turned out to be a cracking day bro. Great to investigate new water and get rewarded. Great memories.

Nice bit of stalking Shane. Crystal clear water. One of your favorite Spring creeks no doubt? Cheers, Craig

Hey Craig. Yeah spring fed, cold as hell. Some of these boys get to around 8 pounds and in the tight conditions it is one hell of a fight. When are you putting out a new vid man? Love yours.

Thanks mate, I'm working on a several videos right now, I'll be putting them up soon, think I need a faster computer :-) Had a fairly epic start to the season, noticing lots of browns turning up in traditional rainbow water, especially the bigger rivers.

Is that good or Bad Craig, the browns taking over rainbow water? I love catching browns but not at the expense of my Bows.

Not sure shane, could it be the high water this winter? it certainly makes for interesting fishing.

Hmm good point, maybe. That or they are just being more successful at spawning.

Haha close one. Shane about how much of the fishing you do would you say is sight fishing?

Most of my summer fishing is sight fishing HerosEnd, apart from if I am fishing a bubbly run. Then the other side of the coin is, most of my winter fishing is blind fishing. What about you mate?

I like to be alone so most of the water I fish is no wider then 4 meters. These small streams make it difficult to get close without getting spotted so about 90% fish I catch are blind cast..

Haha, you could use some of em for bait for your big guys. Big is 16 inches, average is 10 inches.
