Another weekend Mr Fix it 😂 learned how to not break these over a decade ago. Pull it in with engine warm, couple ugga duggas with 3/8 impact. Spin right out everytime. No need for extractor tool
I hear it shocks the carbon loose that makes it stick in the first place, which is why an impact is actually the better tool for the job. Anything else stuck it wouldn't be, of course it's not something people intuitively figure out.
I own 5 Fords. Never had one break. Never had a triton blow a plug. Maybe I'm lucky maybe it's my pretty religious maintenance, but if all I have to worry a out is a plug I'll take it.
They break because of the way they seal the head. Instead of a regular crush washer against a flat hole, they seal inside of an inch-long socket in the head. Then they rust-weld themselves in there.
I changed my spark plugs and ignition coil last weekend and the lady dropped a decent sized piece of aluminum onto the piston and spent 18 hours to get it out so that I wouldn’t have to pull the head
That’s why you change them out often and don’t let them sit there

Wouldn't it be too hot for you to work on it?
@@gtarules1 You don't have to do the tune up with it hot. Just pull the plugs with it warm. Then let it cool off and install the new plugs.
Yup. Found that out the hard way. I read the Ford TSB on it and they recommend a cold engine and penetrating oil. Lol
Never use a 3/8 ugga dugga when taking out spark plugs

Must be a Triton 5.4 LMAO
Yup
The triton virus
Get the engine a little warm. And use an impact gun to get it out... I hardly ever break spark plugs in them
ford famous, also down in holes where water can hang too!
Terrible design
no anti seize.
FORD BUILT TUFF!!🤔🤔😄😄👀👀
I've heard that for years😂

Also mazda spark plug...
Cx-5, mazda 2.. 😂
Why do they do this and whats the fix?

There’s a fix? Lol
@ToolDemos lol idk, ive had lots of friends with f 150s and it's always an issue. None of the shops in my area will do it either. Thx for the info man

Oh that sucks!
I must've gotten lucky mine I'm blew completely out of the head
Seen that too. Ford 4.7
