Hi, Im expecting a lot less visits for therapists at our agency with PDGM. Probably 25-30% less. Rates in our city are in the $90 range which adds up fast. Our strategy is to use PT to also do some OT work, reasonable limits on # of visits and just offering therapy to fewer patients unless specifically written on order. We might not even take a PT/ST case cuz we probably gonna lose. I think our rate is going to come down soon
Christopher Larkin Makes sense to save $$$ but unfortunately medicare will be watching to see of rapid changes ... that being said there is no reason to have more than 8 visits in average for a majority of patients unless they are neuro
@@dr.smith_dpt thank you i am finding many of the numbers i am looking up come back invalid, does that mean they are no longer certified or does that mean they received a new number? one agency told me they just take hmo and maybe that was why
TINA MILLER make sure there are no spaces at beginning or end of # first sometimes it’s a case sensitive issue ..... if not call them to see if they are still in business

I cannot figure out how to find this number for the home health agency. What other video???
I believe the assumptions are based on utilization from 2017. Just be aware that some practice patterns may have already changed for other reasons.
Yes. That is correct. I made a follow-up video since this one on the expected average reimbursement if dosed appropriately.
Great resource video ! Very helpful to project ahead how to be intentional with marketing plans - can you post link to that website ?
