Wonderfully natural in front of the camera 🙏🙏🙏 about the kohlrabbi and wind protection: which direction does the wind come from? They would need a very low wind shelter 👍 could you put like a square piece of wood, maybe 50x50cm at the short ends? In fact, it doesnt even need to be that high! The other elevated beds should provide some protection but otherwise I think just putting planks there would protect 👍or, instead of using rocks to hold down the mesh you could use logs or planks? They would provide wind protection! I heard some wind protection equation along the lines of 1 meter high provides protection 10 meters behind that point - so it's exponential. I hope I understood that right, but anyway... probably way easier than you think!
Wow, never heard of Mashua - really interesting! :) and looking forward to see what you've planned for the new perennials space.. Your food forest looks gorgeous! 🙏😍🌿 Peace and plants!

Great update. It's already looking like you're going to have a massive harvest this year. All well deserved. I'm holding off planting anything outdoors still for a couple more weeks....let's hope the tomatoes don't resemble bamboo by then!
Hi Tony - yes, fingers crossed for a bumper fruiting year indeed 🤞 I've finally just gotten to planting my tomatoes in my Polytunnel today - they we're slightly bamboo like actualluy as I have been trying to get to it for the last week!!! hopefully they will enjoy the big handful of homemade compost that i gave them all and forgive me for leaving them in too small pots for longer than intended! Hope your garden is going well so far this year and your tomatoes are getting to spread there roots not too 🌿💚✌️
I love seeing all your blossoms. My 2 apple trees I got 2 years ago flowered for the first time this year. I got 2 more - all dwarf due to limited space. My peach flowered last year but no fruit developed. Fingers crossed for this year.
Glad you enjoy the blossom Nneka - it’s just so lovely to see isn’t it. Our Apricots have blossomed the last 2 yrs, but this is the first year it’s actually fruited, so fingers crossed for your peach too 🤞thanks for watching ✌️🌿
Carrots are really tricky to companion plant 🤔 if it doesnt work out then maybe, in that bed, you could have daikon radishes later on? They are tasty, of course, but also are great ground cover and become amazing nutrient reservoirs for later. Also, they break up the soil amazingly which could be helpful for new tries with carrots 👍 there are root fly-resistant carrot varieties like "resistafly",
Thanks for the tips Simon 🙏 I did grow Reistafly last year and also doing some trials with it this year, in various beds/against standard varieties too - excited to see the results later in the year ... some aren't that far off being ready now too 🙌💚✌️🌿
Hi Wendy, it mainly for us right now, we do gift produce to our neighbours, family and friend though whenever we can. We do plan to sell certain “cash” crops too, now we have a bit of experience on what could work well 💚 thanks for watching ✌️🌿

Hello there, lovely video, do you sell your produce or is it just for yourselves?
