Luxembourg evolved from an agricultural economy to an industrial economy. Rich people keep their money in Luxembourg because the country has a low corporate tax rate and there is no capital gains tax. Other benefits of the country are - small population, good neighbors and low crime rate. So they do not have to spend much on defense or in preventing crimes. US too uses pounds, miles etc. like in Luxembourg. Indians think that people in western countries do not have close ties with their parents or grand-parents but this is not true. Many westerners save for their children and grand-children's future and they always have a will or a trust fund. They do this because they care for them. Also, young people in western countries get advice from family members in many important life decisions such as choosing university, subjects to major in the university etc. Although they choose their own life partners, they still make sure that their parents like them and most do not marry outside their own race. After they become adults they consult family members when they are not very sure of their own decisions. Why do you think that there are so many successful sports people, scientists, doctors, engineers in these countries? They could not have done it without the support and encouragement from family members.
