      I agree it’s weird seeing the prospective of “trainee” once you become an American soldier I feel a little embarrassed because that was me about half a year ago but I also know it’s pride because we are the 1% of Americans that choose to serve this country.

    Thank you for making these videos because they are definitely helping me to know what is going to happen when I ship out on june 15th. I'm very scared because I'll be fresh out of high school and i'm not good at making new friends. Any advise?

    • @Food24112
      @Food24112 4 роки тому +8

      At BCT and AIT friends are nice, but your main focus should be on doing your best and passing everything. Friends/just people to talk to are nice if you're doing something like cleaning your rifles which in white/blue phase you will have a lot of time to do. We would spend 8+ hours a day sometimes just clearing our M4's which got very boring and usually ended up people just talking. I did split ops for the Guard so I did BCT the summer of my Jr year and when I graduate I have to go to AIT. I should find out soon when I leave. I liked going in the summer because the heat might suck, but at least for us we got buses just about everywhere and when it's not that hot at places like Ft Benning you walk everywhere.

    • @brycelong783
      @brycelong783 4 роки тому +6

    I was enlisted for the first half of my career and completed Basic Training at Ft Leonard Wood in 1995. I guess the most striking difference between this video and my experience was the light hearted nature of the Drill Sergeant’s depicted, especially in Red Phase. I don’t believe I saw a DS smile for at least a few weeks.

    Only 2:17 in, but they already have BFA's in red phase? We didn't get those until blue phase and we were doing battle buddy live fire. Also their rucks look really light unless those are the alliance packs and if so they're lucky AF. We had to use the rucks the entire time and when we were about to graduate we saw the room full of the alliance packs. Also Ericka I can tell it's red phase because you don't have your full voice

    This is what I can tell you about basic, honestly it’s easy the drill sergeants break you down then build u back up again and if you do osut it’s just basic the whole time practically. If I don’t quit in your head you’ll make it though cause the drive to graduate with your class mates will drive the melt to graduate and leave on time. The drill sergeants will help you a lot as time goes on and most of them are great teachers who will mentor you to become the best you can be. Gl to anyone who joins and mad respect to these drill sergeants

Man we got Smoked constantly thru every phase. Even when we was killing it. We wld get highly motivated while we was pushing or whatever. I got 2 where i kind of liked it.
