A trio of US Army MH-47G Chinooks from the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment "Nightstalkers" taxi out and departs from Tri-Cities Airport (KTRI) after making a stop over at the airport.

Yes, that was really cool to see in person. Still mad at myself for having zoomed in just as they did the simultaneous startup. Would have looked really awesome if I were zoomed out with all three in frame. But just you wait for the next triple SOAR visit. I'll be ready. Cheers!

You wont find an aircraft better than this for infiltration/exfiltration of troops in a mountainous enviroment.

What’s the long probe protruding from the front starboard used for?
That is the aerial refueling probe that allows these helicopters to travel long distances without stopping by hooking up with aerial tankers to receive fuel.
Outside of the US Air Force, only the 160th helicopters have refueling probes
