Hi Tony - Eddie in the UK here. Thanks for a nice simple ( no disrespect or offence ! ) effective video to explain what has always been a grey area for me as a new Heli Pilot ! Keep up your helpful videos please Tony.
@@RcHelpDotCom hello Mr I have the same radiolink ta10ll Yes I have. This hold and thr cut mode on the switch I deactivate the two engine safety switches it turns without touching the throttle I raise the throttle a little it stops turning the rotors know or not for trimming and T-Rex 450 helicopters
Thanks for the video, I'm using an older futaba T6EX with T-Rex dominator 450l. My radio only offers gyro on or inhibit should I even use the gyro in the radio with the fly wireless microbeast x system ?
Outstanding tutorial Tony ! I am beginning to understand more and more about the servos and how to somewhat setup the gyro to our preference.Yes I am just getting back into the hobby after several years, and I gotta tell you that rc helicopters are the ones for me. I recently recieved my Blade 400 ( 26 Dec.2020 ) took her out for a maiden flight, first battery only and about the 5th lift off to hover and about a foot off the ground, she starts to yaw to the right without any rudder input, so I set her down quickly, blades smack the dirt, and thankfully the only thing that happened was the main shaft got bent, could this have been caused by gyro failure ? Any thoughts in this ? I'd appreciate your reply. Thanks !
Tony ! Thank You so much for your tutorials on the DX6i and CCPM setup guide, I wished I could"ve watched the series before I thought I knew what I was doing initially with my radio with another tutorial, which ended up in a disaster with one of my Blade 400's, I've since programmed my radio with the Settings you suggested, but am unable to get airborne with my BNF B400 kit due to the unavailability of main shafts at the moment, I was referred to sheldons Hobbies out in California by a gentleman on the Blade rc helicopters USA on the Facebook page, and I am currently awaiting a reply on availability and price qoutes. Thanks Again ! for your series 5✨✨✨✨✨!
I got a question I have AR9020 spektrum receiver with a microbeast when I have the heli on the bench I'll move the throttle stick up and down fast I noticed the satellites blink off and on which look a brown out with a fully charged lipo I'm using a 6v separate bec with 6v align servos the ar9020 receiver is new but ruling it out to be a bad receiver what do think.
I learned to fly helicopters on a nexus 30 with a rate mode mechanical gyro back in the early 90s, it was very difficult to learn to fly with a heading hold gyro because of the necessity to coordinate your turns with rudder. I would bank and pull back on the cyclic and the damn heli would just fall out of the sky, it took me for ever to relearn to fly and I am still more comfortable with a rate mode gyro for forward flight but nothing beats a head hold for hovering
I will always suggest, if you are past the point of hovering and are into forward flight in all orientations to just do Normal. However, using a recovery in case you lose control is always a good option. Using something like AVCS or another stability program can hinder your ability to actually do anything with the helicopter. But again, it can be a great "Aid" in helping you learn, just don't abuse is.
O.K Tony problem solved the AR9020 draws to much amps which this receiver would be great for 450 size helicopters or airplanes so I got the new Ar9030T which has a built-in telemtry' this receiver draws low amps & can handle the extra amps draw from the servos I did pitch pumps on the bench and could not get brown out there is a GOD! I took off my tm1000 temerity now have telemtry receiver all in one now I can move forward ' I also managed to get 6% pitch on that 3 blade rotor head" I'm back in the pilot seat " THANKS TONY RC HELP...
My life would be a hell of a lot easier if I could either give this up or understand it the way you do but in the end I'm always left scratching my head.
OK this what I found out ' the spektrum 9020 draws alot of amps which is good for a 450 heli now there's the new 9030 which has a lower amp draw that's why they up graded that receiver oh well I'm headed to the hobby shop to get one I'll put this on my 90mm t45 goshawk I'll let you the results.

That was the BEST explanation on UA-cam! Thank you!
Thanks so much for taking the time to explain this. I've always wondered why you'd fly in rate mode. I tend to prefer HH mode too.

Great explanation. As a newbie to helicopters it really helped. Thanks from Down Under.

Great video tutorial! Thanks!
What’s the best for a 3d-beginner: Normal or AVCS? Greetings from Germany and stay healthy :)

How to switch on Spectrum dx9 between gyro and headlock
That is such a good explanation! Thanks man!
Great Video! My gyro goes in to rate mode when i try to set my limits. any idea why?
I will need to do what gyro, and what your settings are in the gyro menu of the Tx in order to know what is going on.

Thank you.
My tail rudder is very twitchy and will sometimes turn all the way around with no stick input. Any ideas as to why?
Kind of sounds like you are using V4 or V5 on the 3GX.... www.Rc-Help.com
Very well explained, thanks
