I was a Metallica fan until that self-titled black release. That was shit. I've always been a fan of Dave & Megadeth, so that's where my focus aimed (in 1990 or 1991). Menstruallica only got worse & more cheesy, making stupid faces for the MSM. I saw Metallica in '91, and then Megadeth in 1993. In 1991, though, Metallica followed Body Count (Ice-T), and then Guns & Roses closed out like a boss. All took place in Oakland & San Jose, CA. After that, I didn't care for Metallica (Menstruallica) very much at all. That's background noise. Ice-T and Body Count grew a new appreciation, and G&R only grew stronger in my focus. But nothing about Metallica impressed me at all.
Their just a hard rock band now, all the thrash Metal bands from the 80s have kept to their genre and never changed their style. Metallica are the only ones that have Givin Up their thrash roots to bring in more fans because people were slowly moving on to other bands.
