You did much more work than you needed to. All you need to do is push in on the glove box side pins and lower the lid to the second level to access the door and filters.

Excellent! Needed to know how to get closer into the cabin filter area to deep clean it! The comments are correct if you only need to replace the filters and not deep clean with a vacuum to can just pinch the sides of the glove compartment.

Arrows down and don't take entire glove box off with screws unless your hands are huge to reach filter lid

Dude……squeeze edges of glovebox door to let pins pass through hole…….door drops down and access port for filters right there
