gg both of you.
The purists will disagree but I find the Rapid formats the most compelling example of chess entertainment. A pure intellectual challenge between two players separated by age, experience, endurance, ability, temperament, concentration, focus, anticipation, and character. Presented in an accessible structure. I find it all endlessly fascinating. The more you see an individual play, the more insight into the personality is revealed. See how a man plays chess and you see how he navigates life.
Great comment and analysis, Gerry. Yes, this is a wonderful channel.
To support your conclusion you have to try to show the examples of your analysis by picking the players. It's gonna be intresting.
@@Artur91133 No, I don’t. But feel free to mention specific individuals who’s play contradict my observations. I’ve already posted three years worth of support for my thesis.

I can support my preference for the Rapid format - as seen on CFN - by directing your attention to the recent celebration of paint drying known as The Candidates Tournament. An event so excruciatingly boring no media presented any more than 3 minute long snippets of any game. And resorted to bizarre Rook level camera angles to try and manufacture any kind of interest in the proceedings!

I don't know how the players navigate their lives so I can't prove my observations (if any). Your idea may be true or may be just a logically look like conclusion.
