I love Galloway because of the orange blossom note in it!! Will definitely have to try Althair
I love Althaïr. The orange blossom and cinnamon really pop in the opening. Vanilla is a given and lasts throughout. But that changes as well, in a good way. The praline is delicious but comes out later. This is no spicebomb extreme, it’s in a vanilla class of its own.

This is the review that I was looking and waiting for! I have all three* (with an asterisk). My first bottle from PDM is Herod back in 2017, I fell in love with that bold peppery, tobacco leaf incense smell. Fast forward to 2023, I was deciding between Haltane and Althair, I decided to go with Althair because I still have my bottle of Herod from 2017 and its still amazing. I figured, I have something bold and strong and wanted something lighter and rich, and I love that bourbon vanilla scent. When I bought my second bottle from PDM, Althair, I asked the sales associate to give me a sample bottle of Haltane and she gave me one! Maybe that will be my next bottle or venture out and get something from Kilian or Oud for Greatness. Keep up the amazing reviews and content Erica!

Okay, if we're picking only one PdM, based on the ones I've smelled - Oajan.
It beats out Herod only slightly. My wife loves Herod, while my 11 year old daughter adores Oajan. If smelled right off the skin, Oajan is quite earthy. But in the air, it's all dark honey-cinnamon. I live in Minnesota, so I can wear Herod and Oajan most of the year.
I live in MN too! I like Carlisle from PDM. If you like a very spicy and smooth fragrance, try Sauvage elixir. My new favorite!

Great video Erica. I love Layton and Oud for Greatness which Haltane was "inspired" by I feel. Herod, I hear may have been reformulated. A lot of people are complaining of performance lately. Keep the vids coming ladies !!😃
Herod is performing incredibly bad, just got a bottle 2 weeks ago. Poor. Should of gotten Haltane

I wish you'd do the dry downs, too.
PDM Althair is definitely in my top 3 from their line. It works with my body chemistry so well, lasts for over 8 hours and the dry down is very smooth and balanced.
Hi Erica. I just tried Zefiro by Xerjoff. I like it a lot and will get a 9ml. I was looking for best frag with Iris. This has it. I also got a full 100ml of Dior Homme intense 2011. I heard the 2005 was even better. This is in my top 3 now. Amazing !!
Maybe look for shops that stock old perfumes Jeremy fragrance found one ask him!

Not sure if i got a bad sample or what but i ordered the discovery set after before i bought too many full size bottles from then but haltane was not good at all. In the air it was bad but i still tried it on skin and it didn't help. Not a fan at all and it made me never want to try anything with oud again. I love herod and had the full size bottle. Also have and love Carlisle, layton, and layton exclusif. Getting a full size of the althair next as it might be my new favorite. Haltane though will not be in my collection.
I would pick Sedley or LAYTON EXCLUSIF. For now Brioni Intense is my Signature scent that just works for me...Oh and Iommi Monkey special!
I have Herod and Haltane but I prefer Herod. Althair still can't find here in my country
Althair is great, but after a while, it is sickly sweet. I had covid, and I permanently lost some of my sense of smell and taste. The three fragrances that you are reviewing are actually my favorite, but I'm certain I'm not actually sensing everything about them. There are some other PDM fragrances that I can barely smell, if at all.
PDM I have 4 Layton, Peguses, Harod, Althair, next will be Carlisle, Haltane, and Darley.

Haltane all the way! It’s more versatile than the other two.
Herod is the best PDM followed by the much hyped Layton. BTW if you are going to do comparisons at least give them ratings from 1 to 10.
Layton is almost sharp compared to herod on the opening
Althair is kind of nice, but it is just plain vanilla. I think you could also go with Mercedes Club Black, or if you want more exciting vanilla Nishane Ani or Angel's share. It is not bad, but inferior to these imo.
Haltane is awesome, but I am not a fan of oud. Therefore, I like Herod more.
In the end, Carlisle is the best and most sexy from PdM anyways.
I will try it after I’m done with bvlgari rain essence!

An interesting match up
Even as good as they are, Carlisle & Herod are too strong for me personally, so I love Althair very much, softer but still a little spicy with that 60’s vanilla vibe.
Althair is less "fresh" on the skin as on the paper. You need to test them all on skin tho, it is way better than on paper. For me Herod is the nr.1 and Althair did not top it.

Iv got carlise , layton exclusif, pegasus exclusif and herod . Got the discovery set too but i want em all 😂 but for me herod is king 🤴
Smelled Althair its nothing special after the initial spray…just vanilla in the dry down😔

If I had to pick one, it’s HALTANE. It fits my personality. But… i’d rock the other two as well. What can I say… I love to smell good. 😊

Herod smells like peach or apricot pie. It's very plummy. I don't get much tobacco.
Althair is just 'okay'. If id spend 250 on a bottle id never spend it on althair though, haltane is much better for the money spent.

Nice video. I prefer Herod, to the other two, but Kilian's new Smoking Hot I prefer to Herod. Altair is a bit too much of a me-too vanilla fragrance. BTW I think it's pronounced 'Alta-ear', with two syllables.

@@DavidSmith-zu6eu not really. Greenley doesn’t remind me of anything, while Coach Green is more like a fruity Sauavge, which I wasn’t crazy about. Still it’s nice for the price if you’re feeling that kind of vibe.

Third is Pegasus Exclusif
Althair isn’t great. Just layer Layton with Mercedes club black and save your money. We all know that everyone has Layton anyway.
To me of all PFM Herod is my least favourite of all. Oajan the second least favourite. The best are Layton, Sedley, Habdan Haltane Pegasus and Althair.. No doubt. HEROD oajan and Carlise are a big no for me. Herod smells bad I don't know why but it is the worse of all
@@EduGC29 hahaha we are exact opposites!! I can’t stand the “freshies” I much prefer the darker, richer PDM offerings. I guess that is why such a wide variety of fragrances are made. Everyone has different likes and dislikes
@@EduGC29herod has been dogshit performance lately. The og batch was much more sweet spices aromatic. Got a newer bottle, idk wtf this juice is. It's terribly weak, and lost notes.

You were already proved to not know your fragrances in Curly's video. You have this preconceived notion about fragrances by their brand which don't matter at all to true fragrance lovers and those that just want to smell good. No one should listen to your advice, honestly...
That question "Why do i have to pick" shows how detached you are from your community. Of course people ask which one would you pick because not everyone has fucking 800 USD to spend on 2 fragrances and normal people gotta choose only 1
But then I picked one (: I understand the point of picking, but the thing is is that these fragrances are all VERY different, so how do you really pick which is best??
Most of PDM's big bottles you can get under $200 from discounters.

Ok I love parfum de Marley's fragrances and Herod smells amazing but I will never get that one until they change the name Herod was the king who wanted to kill Jesus Christ so when I heard that name and went to buy some I told them Naaaaa I'm good
