The "now I've seen everything" fish and the "why did you hit me in the head leopold" guy are based off an actor of the time named Peter Lorre. He was known for big soulful eyes and that long drawn out way of speaking. He was in 'Casablanca', 'The Man Who Knew Too Much' and 'Maltese Falcon'.
Fun fact: The "turn out those lights" scene is actually a reference to World War 2 as the cartoon "A Tale of Two Kitties" was made during the war, it basically means everyone had to switch off all their lights in their house during an air raid to avoid being bombed.
9:52 well actually, before the advent of television, cartoons were only shown in movie theaters, where the intended audience did not include kids at all
There's a fair amount of clips in this compilation that were banned by the era of Cartoon Network due to racist depiction. The scenes we remember from CN are classic episodes that can still be bought on DVD but due to the age of the dark humor they don't air it on TV anymore.
You know I love old cartoons are so unhinged with cute figures and faces with funny characters that has political or during the essence of war with enemy countries even putting guns on their heads
Whatt station did they show on? Well in the sixties seventies there was the Bugs Bunny Road Runner show that was on CBS every saturday morning. But..the cartoons soon csme into syndication and hundreds of local stations ran them in the early mornings and late afternoon when schools let out. You always knew when and what station the cartoons were on.
@@abdullahibouraleh6919my dad still likes bugs bunny I grew to like daffy duck and now me and my dad have little arguments every now and then just like bugs and daffy which is kinda ironic
You guys arguing over who's older and being a '90s kid and all that ---- meanwhile it's totally irrelevant because these cartoons are all from between 1930 and 1969. 🤣 They were on TV all the time in the '90s but they were already many decades old.
My dad and I would watch Looney Tunes with "The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show" on iTV (now Global Edmonton) when I was a kid back in the 90's, though unfortunately a bunch of those cartoons were highly edited unless you got them on home video (ala VHS, BetaMax, 8mm Film, etc.). These day's you can get them through streaming or DVD and Blu Ray. My favorite Bugs Bunny cartoon is "Bunny Hugged" were Bugs wrestles against the ridiculously buffed wrestler "The Crusher".
I grew up Looney Tunes with my parents and grandparents except the ww2 episodes that were banned from tv. My favorite Looney Tunes characters are 1) Bugs Bunny and Lola Bunny (From Space Jam) 2)Daffy Duck 3) Road Runner 4) Speedy Gonzales 5) Taz the Tasmania Devil 6) Tweety 7) Marvin the Martian 8) Porky Pig 9) Michigan J Frog 10) Foghorn Leghorn
Tweety done by Mel Blanc, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Porky pig are top favorites. On that clothing disguise question, Bugs Bunny is often the one disguising as an attractive woman to fool those after him. From Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, to one off antagonists in cartoons. Some of the disguises based off of real women in notable for the time outfits one of the Elmer Fudd hunts I can’t remember who exactly as it had to be someone specific. To things like a female hunter, female robot, an arctic native woman, Napoleon’s first wife Josephine, female Tasmanian devil, a southern belle, a Valkyrie in the opera with Elmer Fudd, a temptress in Rabbit of Séville are ones I remember of Bugs Bunny female disguises. But that cartoon was to have Fudd chased by anthropomorphic wolves as part of a plan of turning his dream into a horrible nightmare. That way he would go back to hunting Bugs.

I knew that was who he was based off of as I watched those movies with my uncle who had a bunch of classic movies
Arsenic & Old Lace also.
his breakthrough role was in Fritz Lang's 'M,' arguably one of the first film noirs ever made. really awesome film from a great director.
@TheReviewGhost
Peter Lorre was also in Voyage to the bottom of the Sea " Motion Picture version ".

Fun fact nearly all of those characters were voiced by just one guy his name Mel blanc
The man of a thousand voices

The "son of a b-b-b" with Porky Pig was taken from "Breakdowns of 1938," a collection of bloopers from Warner Bros. films made in 1938.
Actually it was the 1939 version.
I knew that

the looney tunes sitcom on cartoon network was BOMB
Such a good show! Sad they stopped making it.
Ikr??
Lola was by far the best character on that show. Kristen Wiig absolutely killed it as her voice!
@@1visualfxguyi love the scene where she almost hit bugs with her car.
18:10, this part surprised me. There's no way he actually said that, but at the same time I think he did. 😭
He did say it 😂😂

I love them all. Daffy duck, bugs bunny, sammity Sam, porky pig, Elmer fudd, but my most favorite is Foghorn Leghorn
10:38 They missed it! 😭😭
I think the most cool part is that Mel blanc nearly portrayed most of these looney tunes voices
These clips are mostly from the 1930's and 40's. The toons that were on tv are mostly from the late 40's and 1950's.
Looney tunes moments were absolutely random but the suicide jokes today wouldnt slide
dragon ball came on at 5 and sailor moon at 530 and the school bus came at 6, so yes i was up monday-friday at 5am watching my toons
wow... our school buses came later, 6 was when we were waking up.
"I saw this guy do this in a toothpaste ad once. TA-DAH!"
*Most realistic crashing sound, like the VA just ran right into a metal wall no hesitation*
The guy breaking the bat looks like nucky thompson from boardwalk empire if he were in loony tunes
It's a caricature of Peter Lorre; plenty of that in Looney Tunes!
Always will love Looney tunes

Edit: it was from a DS game called *Looney Tunes Duck Amuck* and an episode called *Duck Amuck*
Yeah I was about to say I definitely remember the episode. It was one of my favorites growing up lol
4:05 Fun fact: There's an alternate version, for TV, that's just as dark, but funnier in a way, where Bugs HANDS him the gun and he shoots himself.
