From the top of a D in this situation the keeper should save 90% of the shots, no question. In a game he shouldn't have to deal with them as the defends would shut the striker down hopefully. The one on ones are a little more equal, but anyone who has actually played in goal will know that after a few its very exhausting and you will slow down. He's slightly flat footed but every player has their own style, me personally, I take it as an insult if players score against me even in this kind of situation so I attack the ball a lot more. Those of you saying he's a poor keeper either have no idea what your talking about - have seen him play in games and he is very good, or your thinking its easier than it is. Take it from someone who has played national league and higher for over 15 years, keepers have it hard. Why not criticise the strikers for putting so many shots straight at him or not running faster into the d on the 1-2-1s??
Dave Taylor the one on ones are indeed really exhausting, I am a goalie too, but I can only do like 10 one on ones before I get worse at the shootouts.
the goalie is a professional.... one of the best goalkeepers in the world. and I am playing hockey for 13 years that means that I am playing since I am 4. so they are playing at least 20 years, especially the goalie but just my opinion
I'm a goalie myself and I'm 16 and I didn't really think he was one of the best goalkeepers.... he only had the strikes who were right at him and really didn't take the effort to try and save the ones that went in the corners...
He probably didn't do his best since this is just some kind of training session, I'd recommend you check some of his videos, he's actually really good. Just in case you don't know his name, he's David Harte
Are you allowed to poke check like ice hockey when it's a 1 on 1? Cuz the way this looks I wouldn't want to give them a chance to get around me I would slap the shit out of that ball if I could
Sometimes you need a small break from running with that annoying suit. I know the struggle. He probably just stopped giving a fuck, because he also started running in a circle to cover the goal instead of trying to stop the player from shooting.
I've just finished my first season and ive had bruising to my collarbone and had a lump on my knee, and been hit in the neck... so in New Zealand maybe not so "you'll be fine you have pads on and more pay attention and use your hand pads to block the more delicate areas
I'm pretty sure they just look small, because that are massively tall guys. I know David is 6'5, and Conor is his identical twin, so he is likely at least 6'4. I have no idea how tall Jason is. Almost all players use a 36.5 inch stick, as it is the maximum length you can use. (Goal keepers are allowed use a 40 inch stick, but only for shoutouts.) Hope this helps.

You don't know anything about hockey Dave
This makes me feel like I need to work on my drive...lol
you lot saying david harte is a shit keeper need to check your facts, watch him playing for kampong
Brilliant video guys
I hate one on ones I have that struggle with my suit. I have been keeping for ten years and I am still doing it.
I think field hockey is better than ice hockey
+Hari Haran more funny
+科學超電磁炮 Ice Hockey is dumb as fuck.
+Kapitein Haddock says people who can't skate
No ice hockey is so much better
Yea
Keeper is AMAZIN
Not at all. He is pretty bad because he doesn’t care About rebound and almost never dives.
Ewa there was no rebounding exercise so that is not relevant and you don't dive unless you need too.
Ewa Poep he is the best goalkeeper in the world lmao
well done lads ;) see u soon dave :D
Nice shot guys, "where is the drag flicks "
is this in garryduff?
Why the hell is this video called "beat the goalie"?
I play floorball.
but that goaley is really good. they must have to really train a lot
Yep they've probably been playing hockey for over 10 years that's why there so good

You can
mauvaise qualité mais la vidéo est bien
2:02 step out... step out.... step out..... 2:04 and POSE hahaha not the best way to do it keeper

I know the struggle as well:p been a goal keeper myself for over 10 years
nice one
They literally just smack the ball to shoot. Or is that their version of a slapshot?
+Stamian there are several kinds to shoot in field hockey, they mostly use the regular forehand
+Stamian they're hitting it. It's called a hit. It's powerful.
+Maddie Fox A slapshot is more powerful.
don't think so hun
being a goalkeeper, i know that the hits hurt more than the slaps
I would like to be goaley but the thing is the way some people hit it really would scare me.
When your in the suit it's not scary i play hockey and I've been in goal once and its fine
It can be scary at first but after you learn it ain't going to hurt you, that's when you start scaring the field players
I've just finished my first season and ive had bruising to my collarbone and had a lump on my knee, and been hit in the neck... so in New Zealand maybe not so "you'll be fine you have pads on and more pay attention and use your hand pads to block the more delicate areas
Remake this
why are their sticks so tiny?
Who's skick
+Sophie Linehan soz stick
it helps with acuracy the lower down the stick the easyer it is to hit the ball

lukeytron you can use as longer stick as you like I believe within reason but in Europe 36.5 is the traditional length
I hate one on ones.
I hate those corner shots ! The third most annoying thing when you're a goalie
LOL
this goalie needs to work on his angles
That was ugly
How
How
the keeper is realy bad
both are bad
