  • Some extended footage from my stay at Meanach bothy in September 2017, while hiking from Fort William to Dalwhinnie.
I arrive at the bothy after a long, miserable, wet walk in the rain from Glen Nevis.

Bothy advice: If you are visiting a bothy folks, remember and take out your rubbish when you leave, there is no cleaner on duty!

A year ago we got lost and ended up near that bothy. Best adventure ever! It was boggy though.

Bothies are a good send especially in the Wet Weather . Well done mate. As for the wee moose. Just make sure your back pack is well closed as the wee devils will get inside. Great vid

Yeah it certainly was good to get the fire going even though it was only for a short while. Unfort, not long enough to dry out my clothes for the next day! Enjoy your trip and mind bring plenty of firewood!

A bothy without firewood really defeats the purpose to a large extent could make the difference between life and death

Brilliant video. Not sure I'd fancy sharing my bedroom with a mouse (mice?) but I suppose it's better than spending a night in a tent in a storm! Surprised the mouse (mice?) didn't go after your ginger nuts.
