Oh and Miss, they are a Filipino pop idol group. They are all Filipinos trained the way KPop groups are. I think it's pretty obvious with the music you just heard but they are most definitely not a KPop group--they just had the same training and are managed by a subsidiary of a Korean entertainment company who were looking for talents in the Philippines. All the members and their staff live in the Philippines and promote their music and performances within the Philippines. Their language, music and most of all, the vocals are quite distinctive. They promote PPop. If you haven't heard of PPop yet, that's because it didn't start to become popular until SB19 rose to stardom, bringing along with them a horde of other PPop groups.
the Mv was strong, it's hard to miss that message.
they looked like to kpop at first but as the mv continued their style was different from kpop, it has its originality and I reaaaaly liked it too 😊❤
@@HawniLaiDent Aww, I mean, we're just fans, we didn't really make the MV ourselves, but as supporters, we're glad you liked them! They have other songs too and you'd be surprised to learn they have a wide variety of genres. However, this song "What?" is the first ever of its kind even in the Philippines (the closest I can compare it to is Bohemian Rhapsody, in terms of harmonious spontaneity). We were just as surprised as you because we haven't heard anything like this before. Both the members and the fandom are active on Twttr. There, we have also gathered hints from the group members and staff themselves that this is JUST ONE OF MANY. They apparently have more releases to come within the year, so I wish you can cover those songs in the future as well. We all have a lot to look forward to from this group.

I watch with sub after my first impression, the first time I just want to feel the mv 😊
They are SB19 from the Philippines.
The first guy with a highlight is their leader Pablo, he wrote the song(all their songs actually)the second one with "ahhhh" is Ken their main dancer..the 3rd one with the blindfold is their youngest member he is the creative director of this mv..the 4th person who is in the elevator is josh their lead rapper and the eldest of the group..the 5th one with the cowboy outfit is Stell their main vocalist...SB19 wrote and choreograph their songs...they can all sing..rap..and..dance..they sing better live than the recordings.. their vocals and harmonization are insanely good...hope to see more SB19 content on your channel..incase you wanna check out more about them here are some of their crafts you can check...

@@HawniLaiDent SHOWBT is the name of their company.. they aligned the name of the group from it ( S and B ) then produced other meaning from it which means SOUND BREAK because their aim is to Break the Sound here in Philippines or in the music scene. 19 is the added country code of Korea (82) and Philippines (63) add it one by one (8+2+6+3=19). Why Korea? bec. Show BT comes from Korea that branch out here in the Philippines.
the name of the fandom is A'TIN. don't be confused. It is Read eighteen because for SB19 without 18 (A'TIN) there is no 19 (SB19) , BUT when you read it in Philippine language "ATIN" means OURS.

"The whole video tells their story from scratch to what they are now and what they can still do in the future. In the first part, they told us their story when they were bashed, discriminated and put down. Saddest part was when even the Filipinos did step down on them. They were even judged that they sound Kpop and there will never be a Ppop. They were in the news but didnt stop. They used those negativities around to pull positivities and courage to go ahead! I think Justin (space guy) is a dreamer. Looking at the Earth but blindfolded. Stell (the cowboy) hold some seeds trying to tell us to dig and dig, plant something and in the future, there will be plenty of fruits. Ken is like a king in a throne made of junk. He said in the lyrics that he picked up and collected all the trash, and that lifted him up but he keeps telling us that even he has the power now, our feet should always be on the ground. Josh ( the elevator guy) in real life didnt have an education degree. But on his part he said we are all different but sometimes, those so-called educated people are the worse. And he wont pretend. He started taking off those fancy clothes because that will never define him and what he can do. Then the dreamer Justin finally took out the blindfold. Now he is ready to turn those dreams to reality. Seeds from Stell's hand grew. From the scene when he was holding soil, raining and lightning like a storm, it changed into a clearer nature scene. Then there comes the part when they are in soldier costumes which has a resemblance of Generals during the old times in Philippines. An image of a general signifies courage, focus and determination. Those people they were trying to pass through are the bashers and those who didnt like them. But eventually, the same people became their fans and they celebrate together with SB19s music. Then it sounds like it became an anthem telling us that yes, Ppop is real. We have our own sound, our own music! Thats why Filipinos, let us all raise our flag! They represent our country but in a bigger picture, they used a flag with question mark which represents each of us to show us that everybody has his/her own flag to raise. And they really love what they’re doing. And their friendships. So they told to each other that never give up. Hope you can react the GO UP of SB19. And in 2020 SB19 got the chance to entered BILLBOARD 2020. They got number 2 in Billboard and it was number 6 in BILLBOARD 2020 worldwide. Even in Twitter they keeps on trending worldwide. And one of the great characteristic of SB19 is that they’re very humble, kind and religious. I hope you can stan SB19 too. :)

SB19 was formed by ShowBT Philippines, the Philippine subsidiary of ShowBT Group in Korea, after the five members were selected out of hundreds of aspiring idols during a talent audition in 2016 and underwent the same type of training provided to K-pop idols, attending classes ranging from voice and dance to personality development and body conditioning.
The group debuted on October 26, 2018, with their first single, "Tilaluha". Their initial effort at promotions, mostly in schools and malls, was met with a lukewarm reception.
2019-present: Mainstream breakthrough
SB19 performing at Lazada 11.11 Supershow in Sofitel Harbour Tent on November 11, 2019.
Their second single, "Go Up", was released on July 26, 2019. The group began gaining attention after uploading their dance practice video for the song to their UA-cam channel, which became a viral sensation on Twitter and Facebook after it was shared on the social media platform by a Filipino K-pop fan. This paved the way for the group's appearance in various radio and television shows as well as coverage from different local and international media outlets.
On November 20, 2019, SB19 became the first Filipino act to appear on the Billboard Next Big Sound chart. They also became the first Filipino act to enter the Billboard Social 50, debuting at no. 28 on the week of December 28, 2019 and ascending over the following months. Jeff Benjamin, writing for Billboard, noted that their rise in the chart was aided by a growing international fanbase, and remarked that it was an indication that "more artists [will] continue to look East for inspiration and a larger audience".
SB19 is a five-member Filipino boy band who debuted in 2018 and consists of Josh, Sejun, Stell, Ken, and Justin. They are the first Filipino act trained by a Korean entertainment company to debut in the Philippines. They are also the first Southeast Asian act to enter the top 10 of Billboard Social 50 as well as the first Filipino group to chart on the Billboard Next Big Sound chart. Despite the apparent K-pop influence, SB19 promotes its music as part of Pinoy pop (P-pop), a popular sub-genre of original Filipino music.

This song is #SB19's respond to their bashers and haters (unfortunately most are filipinos)... even though how much trash they throw, they will not stop pursuing their dreams...they invoke God as their shield and protection.... and never be afraid to walk against the tide if you believe is right... raise high your personal flag....according to #SB19 leader Pablo it is about self-empowerment and self-love... thank you for reacting to #SB19... the creative director is the youngest member of the group Justin (22yr old)... the choreographer are all of them plus a friend... the song writer is Pablo their leader
