    The balloon ride would be awesome.... much history there...

      Yes, so much history. On a recent archaeological dig, they even found tunnels that connected the pyramids with treasure chambers from all over Central and South America.

    The thought that people were sacrificed gave me a grim feeling. I'm sure knowing that and being present there most of added a spiritual nature to the experince. Thank you for sharing.

    Wow, so cool to see the geometric layout from the hot air balloon! I went there about 5 years ago and did the ground tour it was still amazing. I see from your video those annoying screechy noisemakers and puma growlers are still there, ha ha. Great video, thank you.

    Geez, that's a pretty good price! Did you visit during a time you knew this was happening, or was it a happy coincidence? Amazing that such structures could have been built like that so long ago. This is right up my alley of interest!

    How do they steer the balloons to go where you wanna go? Another great adventure, Indiana Jane

    • @AliceFordAdventures
      @AliceFordAdventures  3 роки тому +1

      Ha ha, well that's the thing about a hot air balloon there isn't much steering outside of up and down, but they are able to shift the balloon slightly with controls they have that move the balloon from side to side with ropes. But even for landing, the balloon basically lands where it wants they have a crew that follows the balloon into whatever field or parking lot that it ends up in, we actually ran into a tree branch on our way down.

    Interesting to hear that Mexico City was surrounded by water. I wonder if we've had climate change happening for 1,000's of years?

    • @AliceFordAdventures
      @AliceFordAdventures  3 роки тому +1

      The Spanish actually filled in the lakes around Mexico City, when the Aztecs lived there there are a series of aqueducts much like Venice. Then as the population expand it in Mexico City more and more of the lake was filled in with dirt so that the city could be built on top of it, then the growing population also tapped into the ground water and depleted what little water was left in these underground Lakes.
