  • We purchased our Solo Stove Yukon recently and want to protect it from the elements.
So, we ordered the Solo Stove Firepit Shelter. I am impressed with the quality and thought of design that went into this accessory. If you have any questions or comments, please put them below and I will be happy to answer as best I can.

    Thanks, for the video.
I was on the fence on this but I’m gonna pull the trigger and give it a whirl.
Going to get one for the Lake house and if that works out I’ll get one for my daughter and son in law who spend a lot of time camping in remote parts of northern British Columbia.

I think you’ll like it. I think the Ranger or Bonfire would be a great size for camping.

The best part is the beacon-branding, that says “steal me”.......😳

Great review! Do you keep your solo stove on the stand when covering it with the shelter? Is it better to take the stove off the stand first before covering. Thanks!

I keep it up on the stand. That helps keep it dry on the bottom. And I think it prevents rust. So far it has done quite well

You have that inside ring upside-down. Maybe just for storage?

My question would be what is the point? The stove is made from 304 stainless steel so how is a little rain going to mess with it? I guess if you wanted to keep it together and keep from blowing away?

It keeps it clean. Keeps leaves and debris and birds out of it. I store some of the tools in it and usually have some charcoal from the previous fire in there to start the next fire.

How do you go about cleaning out any built up ashes in your Yukon? I just bought one, and I'm wondering what to do.

I wait till the day after so I know the fire is exhausted, the I pull any charcoal that might be left. I turn the Solo stove over in the grass an give it a few taps. Ash is high in calcium so it is good for the lawn.
Then I put any charcoal from thee last fire back in the solo and cover it up till next time.

@@breakheartorchard4761 that's great advice. Thank you. You really dont hear many people talking about this, I dont even see it on the Solo Stove directions anywhere.

I don’t like this product. It doesn’t pitch for rain to slide off. You end up with four pockets of standing water every time it rains.

Mine doesn’t do that. It’s faded and worn looking but still works perfectly.

Pro of using ugly cover sheet no one wants to come near it. Depending on your location.

That is true. We are deep in the country. Folks seldom venture up our driveway. You pass some obvious cameras on your way in.
