Hi Ellen! I just stumbled on your channel looking for some routine videos for 9-5 when you have to go into the office. Just wanna say how much I love this video and how nice it is to see you try and make the best of moments in your day when it’s so full on. I’m really struggling atm with giving energy to things outside my 9-5 as the commute/getting ready and unready takes up such a large portion of my day as it does yours and I’m just so tired and resentful. My old job was mainly wfh so it’s been adjustment 😅 but anyway thank you for this video and portraying such a realistic day in the life balancing work and life 💖
Oh I feel you so much ❤️ sometimes it does just suck and there’s no question going into an office takes more energy than wfh - so definitely let yourself feel frustrated sometimes. But just remember the good bits come back around, and finding joy in the small moments makes such a difference (and maximising rest on weekends) - which is definitely what I’m trying to focus on at the moment ❤️ wishing you a lovely week!! 🫶

Ok worth mentioning even i felt im crazy that i love commuting to offc in the morning in Dublin.! Reading my book or listening to musics or podcasts.! It feels like my own time.! ❤

Hi Ellen, really enjoying your videos. For me they are really realistic to life , well to my life and probably to your fans who are following you 😊. Like you I am in a corporate job and have to commute to the city .I have to wake up 4.30am to shower do hair , make up 😫 and to get out of the house to get the train to the city . As mentioned before , I am one of your new followers. I am currently off sick with a viral infection, brought on by stress which had a huge impact on my immune system. So while I have been off I have been watching all your oldest videos and catching up with your life at the moment. One thing you have encouraged me to do , is to do the things I love and do also take little trips. 💫

I’ve never seen your videos, your video just came up in my feed. I’ve worked in London for the past 14 years so it was interesting to see your video. I always used to have those chocolate rice cakes in the afternoon 😂 since Covid and having a baby I only go into the office once a month so it’s all a novelty now 😂

How are you liking your new job?! My commute is not as smooth, I have to drive 40 minutes to and from work. If I was taking public transportation, I would love to be able to read! I do like the buffer so to speak between home and work. I recently got a new job and have had to go back into the office for three days in the week and I have to say it has felt good to be around people again. Let’s see how long that lasts 😂
My project at the moment is good! Busy and some days are tough but overall good! Driving is definitely more tiring - but having aircon or heating in the car on harsh weather days is a perk of driving for sure. Ah congratulations on the new job!! So glad you're enjoying it ❤❤❤
Love the video! Just a thought, I had skin issues like you are describing and then my coworker mentions that I touch my face ALOT. I have updated some of my skincare and am conscious of not touching my face as much and I have seen a big difference. 😊

How did you get into this job and do you enjoy it? Did you have previous experience in a similar role? I’m curious because it sounds interesting, if you could give some insight it would be nice! ☺️❤️
Some days of the commute are definitely more hectic than others 😂 I got my current job through a graduate scheme called ‘people consulting’ - in other businesses it’s also called HR strategy consulting or human capital consulting. Because I joined straight from uni I didn’t have any other experience to be honest - just general business skills from some work experience! If you have any other questions just let me know!! 🥰❤️

Vaseline is full of chemicals meant for machinery, not delicate human skin. Your skin can't even breath through it.

Just finished watching it, I loved it Ellen! I absolutely love the ones that are aesthetically oriented but there’s something so nice about how raw and real this one felt, love it!!! Also I scrolled through some of the comments and saw that someone had commented on your hand gestures, I understand that it might be distracting to some people but honestly it’s such a part of you that I wouldn’t try to change it unless it also bothers you and it’s something you want to change. I started working as a people consulting in 2017 - I did biology so not a related degree at all! I talk more about what I do in my other 9-5 day in the life videos ❤️

It’s a mix for me - I go in one day a week (typically Tuesdays). But at the moment I’m going in more like 2x a week as we get closer to a deadline. But I defs vlog more when I wfh as easier to film more of my day ❤️❤️

How? We literally have it the easiest in all of human history. We work less and obtain more than ever before. I know you want some magical perfect life that you grew up with in your childhood but that is not possible.
200 years ago someone would have to work all day just to have a nice place to live and feed their family for just that evening. Be grateful.
