I saw the movie when it first came out and loved it. The song 'I Put A Spell on You" was originally from the 50's by Screaming Jay Hawkins who would come out of a coffin on stage and sing the song. Besides the cameo by Garry and Penny Marshall there are great lines in the movie like the lobster tank scene where the guy from the fish restaurant says "Who's going in the jacuzzi? The movie is such a classic. Since the Sanderson Sisters bit the dust in the end a sequel just doesn't make sense.

I didn’t have Disney Channel growing up but I remember this movie being on TV all the time. It transcends cult classic as it’s pretty universally loved across generations
A terrifying fact: the actor who played Max and Danny's dad, was found in a field in Connecticut with his throat slit. It was pronounced suicide. But I think there is something else be behind it.
Also, they have Tony Gardner (makeup artist featured with the undead figure in the beginning of the video) listed as a puppeteer for Binx. That may be a good place to ask about the puppet being used in Sabrina. He’s very nice and approachable on IG ;)
This is one of these massive Disney classic movies for Halloween hocus-pocus is a good movie and every year I get stronger and stronger loads of people love this film it is a cult classic…
Great job Minty. Some very interesting unknown facts. I was an adult when "Hocus Pocus" first came out in theaters and I fell in love with it from the very start. My kids were very small then so they did not see it til they were older on video and they fell in love with it. My wife and I both loved the song "Come Little Children". Im a recently new viewer and have been binge watching your videos! I really enjoy how in depth you go into some of the best movies of our childhood.Keep up the good work Minty
The best Halloween film of all time, and I have hopes for the sequel and wants the OG witches back in the sequel!
Great job on this one. Definitely one of my favorite childhood movies. Before this movie, I've never heard of the word "virgin" myself and even asked my parents. Interesting conversation indeed.

I didn’t have Disney Channel growing up but I remember this movie being on TV all the time. It transcends cult classic as it’s pretty universally loved across generations
Hocus Pocus is a classic.
I loved this movie a kid and I still do love Hocus pocus to this day as an adult too.
The lady from the Sisteract movies? Really? At least mention her name too, out of respect. Otherwise another great clip. And I would love a sequel!
I remember seeing this in theaters as a kid, Loved it
A terrifying fact: the actor who played Max and Danny's dad, was found in a field in Connecticut with his throat slit. It was pronounced suicide. But I think there is something else be behind it.
Wow! I knew he'd passed away but didn't know what happened.
@@dianetheisen8664 holy shit 😰
When I go to watch this again, I’m not gonna sleep
Oh my God!
I'm so glad all of these things happened and ended up making such a Halloween Classic!!
Sarah Jessica Parker looks gorgeous in Hocus Pocus.
When I first rented the video of HP (No not Lovecraft) I told my wife "You are going to love this song Sarah sings to the children to lure them". And she did. And everytime we watched the movie as a family when "Come Little Children" was playing my wife would ask me to boost the volume. Great Halloween classic.
I just rewatched this movie the other day and just noticed that Binks's eyes changed from green to yellow. I thought I was going crazy so I went back and rewatched it again and nope, it stayed the same, his eyes do change.
Well considering they used 9 cats and a fake one that's not a stretch.
I also LIVE Kathy Najimi!!! She’s also in another great Halloween Disney movie too! The Scream Team!!!! She’s so awesome in that!!!
