      1. banging our heads on karbala is a new one but if you’re referring on praying on the turbah it’s a sunnah of the prophet that even your most authentic sources claim. 2. We “beat” because your caliphates horses trampled the chest of the holy prophets grandson, the third imam of islam, imam hussain ibn Ali (as). 4. Cursing the sahaba? The same sahaba that fled from battle leaving the prophet to die or the sahaba that took a stand against the family of the prophet after the prophet Muhammed (saaws) death ? Tattoos are makrooh… But i’ll give you a beautiful answer that was given in shiachat, "Salamun alaykum Tattoos is not a sin in itself, but may be forbidden due to secondary reasons. But its against Islamic ethics, because:
Excessive preoccupation with looks, choosing to adorn oneself with something permanent, like wearing a permanent necklace around your neck, or permanent lipstick. It is pure vanity. Spending money on it is Israf.
Its foolish, as you will change physically and psychologically; the tattoo may not seem such a good idea in later life. It is naïve to assume that what you like is what you will like in 30 years. Taste and culture will change.
Tattoos have been seen to be associated with bad culture, not a culture of enlightenment and education. It has been used largely in past by gangs, criminals and liberal people, or the disenfranchised and immature and rebellious youth. This cultures have been glorified in the media, which has led to increased tattooing, furthered by celebrities in pop culture.
If it is a religious branding or motif, then the best branding is through action and conduct.
On our path towards God, with iman and taqwa, the tattoo has no place."
Now arabeen walk… Is there something wrong with it ? walking towards the man that’s promised heaven is a sin ? walking towards the grandson of the prophet is a sin? walking towards the son of the ‘lady of heaven’ is a sin ? walking towards the man who saved islam at karbala is a sin ? walking towards the son of the greatest warrior in history is a sin? Fear Allah ya jahil

@@sasuke.7251with all due respect, there’s no chance any educated Shia household would prevent you from praying Fardh.
As far as “revered figures” - it’s obligatory on you to analyze revered figures and find out if they’re actually worth revering or not.
Should we revere Jesus as a god because Christian’s said so? Of course not! Likewise, we shouldn’t revere Imam Ali because us Shias said so, or Aisha because Sunnis said so. It’s not sufficient when you die and have to answer to Allah for your aqeedah.
We must actively scrutinize the history and learn if these figures are REALLY as elevated as each sect says they are
That’s why politics is important. If you pretend politics doesn’t exist, then you ignore the possibility of corruption, and it becomes very easy to just “go with the flow” even if the majority view is incorrect.
Don’t ever ignore politics, because politics chooses the leaders who write history, and that history could hide and show and elevate and desecrate whoever it wants
May Allah guide us all. Calling Shia Islam a cancer… we’re talking hundreds of millions of Muslims akhi, this isn’t a joke. Watch your words because you’re responsible for them just like I’m responsible for mine.

As far as crying - crying for Hussain is a sunnah of the prophet. He cried 60 years before Karbala.
Self-flagellation is haram, I agree. But it’s a minority of Shias that do it and go viral, just like how it’s a minority of Sunnis who suicide bomb and go viral.
As far as the imams being knowledgeable and taking from their authentic sayings - the majority of Hadiths we have in Shia books about the imams are authentic, but any Hadith with doubt has to be compared with the Quran.
If you actually read the Hadiths (I recommend downloading MyDailyHadith on your phone) then you’d see that the imams of Ahlulbayt were on Haqq.
Ahlulbayt is an ocean of knowledge that people just don’t know about, because our scholars keep getting killed, and our countries bombed, so its difficult to get things in English translation
Praying for guidance for both of us, WaSalam

Long comment but please read through it, JazakAllah khair:
Essentially what I’m saying is that the religious and political go hand in hand - this is Islam by design. There is no separation of church and state
So the one who rules you politically should be the most knowledgeable and righteous religiously.
And any reading of history would show there was nobody more knowledgeable than Ahlulbayt yet they were never allowed to rule or stay ruling. Always assassinated. This SHOULD make you think and wonder - why? How is it that we all claim to love Ahlulbayt, yet the early caliphs put immense pressure on them and eventually killed them off
The question is: why?? Maybe the Ahlulbayt were actually bad people, perhaps? OR PERHAPS - the caliphs were not exactly the most righteous, and cared more about power and money than Deen.
One or the other is correct, not both.
So if early caliphs during the Abbasid and Ummayed dynasties were more interested in power, what did the powerless Ahlulbayt do to deserve getting assassinated? Where did this hate against them come from?
Simply put: it came from the fact that the regular PEOPLE knew that power in Islam should reside with Ahlulbayt ONLY - so therefore the Imams were a threat and had to be kept under strict watch, imprisonment, and poisoning.
How do you think the Abbasids even got to power? Their whole slogan was “we need to return the caliphate to the rightful owners which are Ahlulbayt”
The reason they succeeded is because they used a line everyone knew was the truth.
If everyone knew from the very beginning who is supposed to hold power, that raises BIG question marks on the first 3 caliphs and many of the early companions.
Do you see where I’m trying to go with this? I’m trying to explain how the politics is deeply mixed with religion.
Only When you look at religion and politics COMBINED is when you see who in early Islam is worth following.

Taraweeh is a sunnah of the prophet?
Umar said, ‘In my opinion I would better collect these (people) under the leadership of one Qari (reciter) [i.e. let them pray in congregation!]'. So, he made up his mind to congregate them behind Ubayy bin Ka’b. Then, on another night, I went again in his company and the people were praying behind their reciter. On that, ‘Umar remarked, 'What an excellent bid'a (innovation in religion) this is; but the prayer which they do not perform, but rather sleep at its time, is better than the one they are offering.' He meant the prayer in the last part of the night."
      [Sahih al-Bukhari, volume 3, book 32, number 227]
      • “It was called bid’ah because the Prophet (s) did not use to pray it in congregation, and neither was it prayed like that in the time of al-Siddiq (referring to the first Caliph), nor in the early part of night or with these number of units.”
      [al-Qastallani, Irshad al-Sari Sharh Sahih al-Bukhari, volume 5, page 4]
[al-Nawawi, Sharh Sahih Muslim, volume 6, page 287]
      • “‘Umar was the first who set the example of the night prayer of Ramadan, the Tarawih, and gathered people for it, and instructed different regions regarding it. This was during the month of Ramadhan of the year 14 (hijri). He appointed for the people reciters of the Qur’an who led the Tarawih prayer for men and women.”
      [Ibn Sa’d, Kitab al-Tabaqat, volume 3, page 281]
      [al-Suyuti, Tarikh al-Khulafa', page 137]
      [al-‘Ayni, ‘Umdat al-Qari fi Sharh Sahih al-Bukhari, volume 6, page 125]
The Prophet (s) said: “O people! Perform your prayers at your homes, for the best prayer of a person is what he performs at his home, except the compulsory (congregational) prayer."
      [Sahih al-Bukhari, volume 9, book 92, number 393]
      [al-Nasa’i, Sunan, volume 3, p. 161, p. 198]
      • Once Abdullah bin Mas’ud asked the Prophet (s): “Which is better; to pray in my house or in the mosque?” The Prophet (s) replied: “Do you not see how near to the mosque my house is? To pray in my house is more beloved to me than to pray in the mosque except for the obligatory prayers.”
[Ibn Majah, Sunan, volume 1, page 439, number 1378]
Narrated Zayd bin Thabit: Allah's Apostle (s) made a small room (with a palm leaf mat). He (s) came out (of his house) and prayed in it. Some men came and joined him in his prayer. Then again the next night they came for the prayer, but the Prophet (s) delayed and did not come out to them. So they raised their voices and knocked the door with small stones (to draw his attention). He came out to them in a state of anger, saying, “You are still insisting (on your deed) that I fear this prayer might become obligatory on you. So, O you people! offer this prayer at your homes, for the best prayer of a person is the one which he offers at home, except the compulsory (congregational) prayer.”
      [Sahih al-Bukhari, volume 8, book 73, number 134]
So was it the sunnah of the prophet or the sunnah of umar ibn khattab (may Allah swt curse him)
Beating our chest for the grandson of the prophet ? didn’t your mother aisha beat her chest for abu bakr ? abu bakr doesn’t come close to the sandals of imam al hussain (as) so what makes you think we’ll stop for you ? We do it out of love ya jahil.

The word Mut'ah is not mentioned anywhere in the Holy Quran. Allah SWT makes it clear in verse 23:6 in what type of sexual relations is allowed in Islam.
*5* And they who guard their private part. *6* Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed. *7* But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors. [Qur'an 23: 5-7]
Why didn't Allah SWT mention temporary marriage in that verse if Mut'ah is a part of Islam? Allah SWT says anyone seeking sexual relations beyond what is allowed in verse 6 they are sinning.
Here is just one of the rules that Twelver Shi'ism applies to Mut'ah.
“I once mentioned Mut‘ah before abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, and asked if it is one of four (wives). He (Imam) said, *‘You may marry a thousand of them; they are on hire.’*
      [Al Kafi - Vol 5 - The Book of Marriage -- H 9882 Ch 95 h 7]
How can we guard our private parts if we can temporary marry a thousand women?
I was watching a BBC program about temporary marriage and there was this English guy on there who converted to Twelver Shi'ism. He was saying how he already had 13 temporary marriages, but unfortunately he still ain't found the right one.
Is that how Islam works? First taste the fruit to see if its to your liking.
If you only knew the rules they apply to Mut'ah, you will understand it is nothing short of prostitution.

Just out of curiosity, have there been other instances where something was initially permitted but later prohibited (if so, please give example and proof)? If so, why was it allowed in the first place? I've heard that sometimes it was due to circumstances like war. However, considering there have been many wars since the time of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), why was mut'a (temporary marriage) allowed only during certain periods and then prohibited indefinitely after the Prophet's time?
For instance, as Muslims, we are forbidden from consuming pork, but there's a provision that allows it in cases of extreme necessity, such as when facing starvation (this is what I have heard, this may not be true). Therefore, if mut'a was permitted due to the exigencies of war and was deemed halal during that time, shouldn't it remain permissible during other wars as well?
I'm raising this question as a Shia Muslim with the intention of seeking understanding, not to offend anyone. I'm sure many others also ponder why mut'a was allowed, then banned, then allowed again, and finally banned for eternity.

The issue with alcohol is that it was never permitted by Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Initially, drinking alcohol was considered normal, and the Prophet did not prohibit it at the outset of the Islamic religion. However, he gradually prohibited several things, but alcohol was never permitted in the same way as Mutah.

Just use your brain to. There is a lot of things that are not explored in detail in the Quran u have no option but to use Hadith. Among the strictest Shia, mut3ah is impermissible by nature and allowed under special circumstances (for example someone is not able to sustain full marriage for health or other valid reasons)
The video on mut3ah is weak, but it was probably done because Sunnis at large are viciously disrespectful in calling Shias sons of mut3ah. Which isn’t fair as 99% are born of halal marriage. That’s like saying Sunnis are sons of terrorism because of ISIS. They do not represent Sunnis and Mut3ah and self-flagellation does not represent Shias
There are tens of other topics that are more relevant and critical, AQEEDAH stuff, analyzing the personalities and qualifications of the early Sahaba.
A topic as frivolous as this just makes more fitnah, it’s cheap. The same Shias who do mut3ah in an impermissible way would do Zina if they were Shia. So it’s both essentially Zina, and it’s the same type of people that would do it either way.
There should be a focus on other topics, especially like I said the genuine history that split the ummah

He was not a prophet and not appointed by Allah (azjl) how is he able to come up with new islamic rulings like tarawih. Isnt that bidaa?

@@glitchinthematrix9306it is the prophet who first did tje tarawih not Umar.
And Umar did not make any religious ruling, Tarawih are a Sunnah.
      They are not obligatory.

@@glitchinthematrix9306 taraweeh was performed at the time of the prophet. Praying in congregation isn’t a bidaa. Qiyam isn’t a Bidaa.
The prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم would tell Umar to take carewhen he talks because Allah is turning the things he wishes for into rulings (alcohol, hijab, bayah, and many more). This shows the amount of wisdom that Umar had. He was automatically given an Islamic thinking/mindset
The last person to talk about bidaa are Shias. 😂 your religion revolves around bidaa

Why are all ur response so weak 😂. U all say it was banned in khaybar but then was numerously permitted after khaybar. Make up ur minds. Ur perspective on history is all over the place. 😂

"When the prophet abrogated something their remained pockets of companions who were unaware of the abrogation" Really..companions wouldnt have known it was made haram..no logic..can u please change the adhan in sunni mosques and put umar name instead of the real prophet Muhammad pbuh, since u clearly love umar more.
