One of the things I loved about adult swim was that they thought to themselves, “what’s the most ridiculous shit we can have someone wake up randomly in the middle of the night to” and then made icelandic ultrablue

Jack Stauber is so talented in so many ways. His music absolutely slaps, his UA-cam videos range from creepy to funny to wholesome, and he overall seems like a really cool guy to chill with. He clearly puts a lot of effort and love into his work. He's incredibly underrated in my opinion.

Kate Yup is bulimic, speaking from personal experience. BN explains everything from her bruises, to her ability to eat the amounts she does, and her teeth falling out. Common signs of long-term regular binging & purging. She even had a toothbrush taped to her arm in at least one video, which is used to induce vomiting. I think she played along with the “being kidnapped” thing to grow her channel, and she stopped making videos presumably because she’s in recovery.
Let’s hope so. I’m tired of seeing the dumb ‘she’s been kidnapped’ comments over and over again. I hope she’s doing okay.
@@annieapple8974 it’s the most reasonable and likely explanation if people actually stopped and took the time to think about it instead of resorting to the whackiest conspiracies, but such is the internet, I guess.
I'm glad she got help, I hope her recovery is going well.
I thought she was exposed as a popular fighter. Not sure what the mukbang angle is but it explains how she gets so much food, the bruises and the mask.
I'm sincerly hoping she is recovering and doing okay now ed's are really hard to deal with

@@shatteredarling I always loved the lost episode and theory pastas best.
I’m more nostalgic for the 2006 era of urban legends. Me and my cousins would sit at our computer and read about urban legends like “Humans can lick too, The killer in the backseat, Bloody Mary, the babysitter and the man upstairs”. God those were the days. That was also around the time when scary pop up videos were really popular.

i was kinda shocked you didnt already know about poppy before this! for anyone else who didn't and wants a rundown:
Poppy was really never super creepy, the more you look into it the more its obvious its just an art project, shes just part of an edgy metal-esque music scene. but there is a sad truth behind it, way more complex than a youtube comment explanation can do justice but basically, she worked with her significant other on the original iconic poppy videos (blonde hair creepy voice, 'sunglasses' era), his name was titanic sinclair, and after a while it came to light that he had basically just redone with poppy what he tried to do with a previous partner called mars argo (singer who had a very similar premise to poppy) and not only this but he was incredibly abusive and manipulative to both girls when with them (and after really, stalking, some people think certain parts of poppy videos straight up reference and mock/taunt mars argo). its hard for me to see poppy as part of the creepy side of youtube after this, her music and art style was never super outlandish to me anyway shes always just been expressing herself. fortunately shes since ditched titanic and has been working to reclaim her career and move past things and for mars argo it seems like her career never recovered from titanic but i think she won a lawsuit against him and poppy? so hopefully that was a win for her, and maybe shes enjoying not being in the limelight now, we can hope. poppy still makes music if anyone is interested though!

@@TOPOPPCHRIS_TWIN I fucking hate I feel fantastic it’s one of the few videos that leave me with a very uneasy feeling
You forgot to mention that Kate yup literally broke her teeth in her video, she acknowledged it but continue eating. And then another of her teeth broke, yet she continue eating. It was disturbing how non chalant she is.
You know if her teeth break a lot it could add to the possibility of her having an eating disorder. The acid from throwing up breaks down the teeth and bulimics (just saying bulimia generally, as there are lots of eating disorders out there but what with the amount Kate would eat it’s possibly she may have been in the practice of purging, maybe after recording) often have really brittle teeth as a result of the constant throwing up.
I'm on my dad's acc and literally 2 days ago I found out what non chalant means
That kind of thing is why it pisses me off to see people claim she's a perfectly healthy person who's just some evil attention seeker.
She may not have been captured or held against her will, but she's very clearly unwell and in need of actual help. A healthy person doesn't break their teeth off and pretend to have been kidnapped for clout.
Wait i saw a Horror short party Video abt this
Thank you for clearly stating there will be no jumpscares. Even the thought that a jumpscare might happen gives me severe panic attacks because one time a jumpscare made me experience something that I can only describe as my brain's fight or flight response going haywire sending a jolt of electricity throughout my entire body. Lasagna cat is a masterpiece , it is the biggest, most expensive and well made shitpost meant to just dank on Jim Davis to just tell him he is unfunny
News for scare theater, he said something on patreon and as like a community announcement that’s he’s taking a break from UA-cam to finish up school, said he will start uploading again once he’s done with school.
Oh wow! Thanks for an actual update. Super cool to hear that!
Yay! I miss him so much
Hey babies, the story of poppy is actually very misconstrued in this video. To no fault of the creators! Poppy's channel used to have tons of videos just like the sunglasses one, but most of them have since been deleted for really dark reasons. Long story short, poppy is actual a normal girl who was an aspiring pop star and ended up getting roped into an abusive romantic/professional relationship with a really fucked up manger type person. Her story crosses over with that of Mars Argo because they actually had the same manager and based on the appearance of the man in the sunglasses video, it looks like the man was designed to look like him. The story itself is incredibly interesting and really gives her old videos an even deeper sense of unease.
Poppy makes metal music now! But when she was only known for her early videos with that creepy atmosphere, it was definitely scary back then. But knowing everything we do now it lost all of its creepy factor.
to me the "creepy" part of her early videos is just the knowledge that titanic literally just manipulated and used her
I can’t believe people have already forgotten Poppy’s early work. Especially now that we know what Titanic Sinclair was really like and how his creepy relationship with Poppy
I didn't even realise it was a re-upload, it's that enjoyable. I like that you provide all the links.
There's a great documentary about The Goddess Bunny, I think it's called just that.
Thanks for the encouragement :)
Comments like this really keep me going
Poppy's content has changed a lot over the years; back in her long blonde hair days her videos included a lot more eerie staring and other unsettling content. She actually makes music too, and it's pretty good.
That was also back when the project included Titanic Sinclair, who has since been kicked from it for being a terrible awful person. Tbh I like it now that she has full control.
I have a genuine question, some of this stuff terrified me as a child due to having mean kids in my neighborhood
And the fact I now have an anxiety disorder but this subject matter interests me so much, I genuinely want to know how you watch and review horrifying things like this and sleep at night/ feel comfortable in your own home because after a while I feel scared and I was hoping to know how you handle it seeing as you are very calm with all this things.
He watches them during the day i guess.
@@madre6970 i mean yeah. I wouldn’t be able to watch it at night either. Shits scary
Idk if this helps but sometimes i just have to keep reminding myself whatever scary thing I'm watching/listening to it's not real and take a deep breath.
I mean- people are different I guess- and I feel like you get used to it when you watch that kind of stuff a lot...
I have the exact same issue. I find these topics so interesting, but they do make me extremely anxious (having an anxiety disorder doesn't help me either). Usually the reason they make me anxious is because I get too immersed into the film, which makes it feel so real. So to break that immersion, I break the fourth wall for myself. Start thinking of the film as an art piece, wonder about the message of the film, critique the actors, admire the lighting and props, think about how much money it took to make it.. etc
My personal favourite for when a scene is overwhelming is to think, "The only thing that actor cares about is the left over spaghetti he's going to have for dinner tonight."
Following petscop in real time was a real ride. There was little stuff like the character disappearing from the channel icon for some time, and a break between video uploads that made sense. A real masterpiece in unfiction.
About Poppy: This was in reference to some of her first videos, which were more unsettling and nonsensical (still not very bad). During this time, her (I THINK it was her manager) was manipulating and controlling her in order for her to behave in such an odd way. At least, that's what I heard.
Every art piece in my opinion holds a piece of the creator. There is no such thing as stupid art
yeah, i really do not like this guys takes
@@lailah4982 yeah he’s too quick to be negative about anything he personally doesn’t like just because he doesn’t like it lol
@@lailah4982 was thinking the same thing lol
who does he think he is to dictate what's "gross and gratuitous" and what's "proper art" or "good content"?
nobody has that authority, and nobody should
could've just said he doesn't like it and was grossed out, period
And the fact that he tries to argue that art HE thinks is stupid shouldn’t be allowed but people using profane language is completely ok. Imo I think both should be fine, but if you told me I had to pick one thing to be strict on, I think I’d pick the one that results in a pewdiepie bridge incident.
Jack Stauber is one of my favorite artists, his videos have really deep meaning when you look at it, for example his song Coffee; it’s about addiction. One of the lyrics goes ‘I can make you feel alive! I know, but do i need you to survive?’ I think him doing these videos are really cool and it’s fun trying to find the meanings and all the theories in the comments :)
The Canal 5 is actually pretty on point for that channel. I lived in Mexico for several years and that channel would often have film shorts that were disturbing and just overall weird. This was way back in the late 90s early 00s. The videos were avant-garde type of art. Makes sense now that social media is prevalent that they would use it to show these films. Mexico has a history with avant-garde art.
analogue horror is so interesting, I was thinking about making my own content for it.
go for it!!
PLEASE that would be awesome I have been looking for a good one and your username is so good for that for some reason lol
Yes! Whatever idea you have, there will be people who love it
THANK YOU for the no jumpscare rule. As someone with a heart condition, it makes watching your videos safer for me 🖤
Even though, I'm a little weak of heart and am always affected by the creepy UA-cam stuff. But once in a while, I'm intrigued by this stuff and start watching until I'm grossed.
Had to give credit to this guy, he kept it really calm and cool, not just avoiding jumpscares but also not using any dramatic music. He had warnings and stuff as well, something's were blurred too. I loved it.
In the “Blank room soup” videos, it is speculated that the soup the man is eating contains his family. So, he was forced to eat his family (maybe)
Wasnt it His dog???
The hanging munchkin was debunked a while ago, it's just a bird brought in from the Los Angeles Zoo and the channel that uploaded it painstakingly edited the "hanging munchkin" in. Even if you rewatch VHS copies, the munchkin is nowhere in sight
And the munchkin actors weren’t even on set yet when that scene was shot because it was filmed before the munchkin land scenes
I would like to thank you for including the warning at the beginning, I was trying to find an iceberg image video that I could listed to while I was sleeping and the last one I watched woke me up with a creepy laughing noise at 3 am. I’ll watch this later when I’m awake lmao
That guy who sat and smiled whilst a burglar came in is the ultimate finesse
He literally pissed himself and remained still and silent. Now that's what I can call based
The biggest thing about the Rayray's is that they all act in character in the videos lol
It's clearly just a stunt
Yeah i agree. Looking back it’s clearly a stunt
The guy eating the soup is laughing. I swear he is.
@@lilmissbloodbath89 laughing, but trying to disguise it as crying, if you ask me.

I mean isn't the dude from the third vid identified? Isn't that an instant debunk? Are people just becoming stupider?
5:39 Jack Stauber makes art that’s like don’t hug me I’m scared: an avant garde way of spreading a message. I totally respect your opinion but I love how disturbing his work is because a lot of the stuff he goes over IS based off of disturbing things, with happy music. On top of that he puts a lot of heart into the things he makes and like, you can totally tell? I get why it isn’t for everyone though. Good video btw
THANK YOU for mentioning PilotRedSun! I’d seen two of his videos: “Not So Fast” and “Ultimate Fuel”, but forgot the names and couldn’t find them again for a while. I was hoping you’d help me remember.:)
This is a well thought out video...except for your opinion on Lasagna Cat. You missed the plot harder than anyone I've ever seen. It's not that hard to find the meaning and if you struggle with metaphor plenty of videos exist explaining how it is an analogue for Jim Davis.
Ikr, there was another one he COMPLETELY missed the point of and it bothered me
I rewatched the whole thing. I love these iceberg videos lol
Eyyy. Happy to hear you liked it enough to watch it again :)
I think I've watched so many iceberg videos that now i know almost everything in this type of iceberg
Dude I'mma seriously have to ask you about a obey the walrus explanation, I'm to scared to watch it myself and I still have no idea why i'm so scared
29:44 The dedication this man has, damn. 7 hours of sitting still on one spot and similing.
Yep.
With the “i feel fantastic” video the animatronic was originally gonna be used for a concert, but it didn’t end up happening.
This is the first video I ever saw on your channel, and I already find it so enjoyable! When it was over, I already wished it would keep going. There's something that's so relaxing and pleasing about this video, from the narration to the music to the fact that I'm really fascinated by disturbing media like this. You've earned a new Subscriber! :)
it’s hilarious that poppy isn’t on the very first tier considering how she’s extremely mainstream and has even been touring
The thing about the wizard of oz set- they actually released a variety of birds from their local zoo on set and apparently that was an emu or crane. It still looks like one of those pillow bodies you hang from trees for Halloween no matter how much I watch it
The clip used in this video is edited and is not what you will see when you watch the actual movie. I have it on vhs. It’s clearly a bird.
It's so disturbing to me, brought me to tears even
I like the way in your style of content, you talk about the topics in a normal way as if you’re having a conversation with the listener. Im a big fan of channels like Nick Crowley, but with the eerie music and voice for extra effect (which I dig don’t get me wrong), when it comes to watching iceberg videos when I’m studying I can’t help feeling a little uneasy with my headphones on and my back to the door. So thanks for the lovely music and relaxing tone of voice :)
"the video is fairly normal for the first 4 hours" jesus this line fisically hurts
How come i feel kinda relaxed watching this?? Thanks for this vid man it's amazing!!!
“ no jumpscares “ first entry scary images without warning
I don’t expect the people who overview these icebergs to spend hours analysing every single entry, but I believe you were too quick to write off many of the entries as “just an art project” or “nonsensical” or “not very creepy” when the actual horror comes from what the project represents. It comes off like you don’t actually care to engage with the material if it requires any level of engagement past literalism, which I find unfair to the material.
^^ def agree
Agreed
yeah, also poppy went viral in like 2015 and there’s a lot of info about her past career and what she’s doing nowadays…
Agree! As someone who's been passionate about content of this caliber for years, this overview felt very half-hearted at points. Like someone who just isn't into horror trying to explain the value of the genre.
Agreed, he just dissed the entirety of lasagna cat as if it was some art project and nothing else.
I love the channel and I appreciate all the work you put into these vids, you’re awesome 😎
i think jack's videos are more related to art than just creepy stuff
Nice one dude. Great video. Couldn't help but laugh at the "almost at 5k subs"! Glad to hear you smashed that. Keep it up.
32:23 thatpoppy (or poppy) used to be a long-running ARG, but from what i remember the guy running it was genuinely abusing/mistreating poppy (or the actress shown on-camera playing as poppy) and when word finally got out that she was being hurt the whole game was stopped in order to get the previously mentioned abuser fired and/or arrested
the reason you can't find anything creepy or arg-related anymore is because the game is over and the related videos are both now irrelevant and possibly painful for poppy to look back on, meaning they're mostly deleted as she's now started her own business (i think?) and is sort of doing her own art projects and music now
i love these iceberg videos because no matter how many i watch, i always learn something new. i've been listening to stolen babies since ~2009 and have known about the blank man soup video for a while and had NO IDEA that there was any correlation between such an obscure band and this obscure video. this is what always keeps me coming back for more and shows that even we ravenous media consumers don't know how wide or deep the iceberg truly is. well done.
i dont know if anyone's brought this up but local 58 including a "this is a hoax" message could probably lead people to imagine "what if someone committed suicide during that? and it wasnt even real?" and honestly if intended i think thats pretty neat
The scariest part of 35:25 is that this man’s feet aren’t covered by his sheets
ikr
What I love about the "Contingency" video from Local 58 is when the frase "Children and pets, the small patriots" pops up, basically meaning that you also have to kill your own kids and pets just for the sake of not being prisoners
benjamin is incredible, like, i don‘t really get the purpose of his videos but he‘s so dedicated, i‘ve never seen anything like this before
Salad Fingers will always freak me out. I was about 15 when I watched the videos for the first time, I'm almost 24 now and they still freak me out.
Hearing you mention the Toy Story Secrets caught my attention, that was literally the first “screamer” video I ever encountered.
I can never hear “You got a Friend in Me” without bracing for the scream.
Fun fact: There's a 2021 reboot of Poochee and Pansy that...is surprisingly jumpscare-free. Episodes 1 and 2 are released, but there might be more in the future.
Local 58 is scary to me because the one video that told everyone to kill themselves, but it’s heard to be a hoax a seconds later but seconds are just enough time for someone to start the process of killing themselves but unable to reverse it. If this happened in real life many people would believe it and then not know what it would be true. That’s what makes it scary, it can be true one day or is based on realistic events, those things terrify me.
Most of Jack Stauber's music videos/songs have meanings behind them. Goldie is about old age, Bumblebees Are Out is about child abuse, New Normal is about Covid, Baby Hotline is about suicide, and there's even more than that. He's very talented and also criminally underrated.
As soon as you mentioned scaretheater, I subscribed. Love these! ❤
The hanging munchkin is a fake edit, it doesnt exist on any official copy
Thank you. I’ve been trying to explain that to people
I really appreciate your adoption of Unfiction 💖 I always thought it was the best descriptor for those types of things
Its the only way to describe that type of content honestly
3:59 i actually love and adore dhmis so much, it’s kinda like a comfort show to me. the reason why people found it disturbing was probably they saw it at a young age or how the characters meet their demise. like duck gets his organs eaten, yellow guy drowns in oil or ink and red guy runs away. it’s disturbing in an amazing and creative way and the creators were so smart and talented :D
Hey Bro, thanks for posting, can't wait for part 2.
Its already out!
The main thing about Poppy is that people didn't always know about her career as a singer. At the beginning she just posted very random and eerie videos that out of context were considered creepy (to me the creepiest ones involved the mannequin). Once people started to know about her career everything became clearer and her eerie videos were seen as marketing, before that she was considered somewhat of a mystery.
Scaretheater actually made a video debunking the hanging munchkin. Apparently, there was always a bird in the background and someone just edited it in to make a scary video.
The first thought of me watching the "I feel fantastic" is just about an animatronic testing itself and the zoom-in is just the animatronic zooming in to test it's "sight"
Omg my video got paused after you said something about 3am, so in the middle of your statement I thought you were trying a new scare factor, then my phone shut off and my airpod disconnected, then I got even more scared, until I realized it was just my phone dying. I was legit sweating the entire time because I thought you were gonna jump scare me lol.

@@theorist :DD
i legit got angry when he said "I cant seen to appreciate the work that Jack Stauber makes"
he is one of my fav musical artists
I mean, not everyone is forced to like that kind of stuff, I personally love it but it's fine if someone doesn't get It.
Btw, what's your favourite song of his? Mine might as well be Tea Errors or Al Dente
I like jack stauber but people are allowed to have different opinions 🤠
Opinion - a view or judgement formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
"that, in my opinion, is right"
After a long time i found a worthy iceberg vid tnx keep up the good work
a few years back my family (on maybe Christmas eve) was gathered in the living room watching UA-cam on the tv. we were watching old commercials from 80s/90s and my dad saw something to do with max headroom. He closed out of the vid and looked up the video of doctor who broadcast interruption and he was talking about how it scared him while watching when it was live.
Jack stauber is insanely creative and awesome and you just can’t say otherwise cause he has amazing music and art
I'm a fan of Jack Stauber, and he's pretty cool. His music is nice and he's not a scary dude at all. He's more just unique.
i subscibed to u for your wholesome approach on such bleak content, good job :D on the vid
I loved that you used melee clips throughout the video
This video sent me spiraling down a rabbit hole with Petscop. I remember having seen some of the videos a few years back, but... Yeah. Finally, after 2 days being deep in the Petscop lore, I'm back to finish this video.
Yeah matpat covers petscop pretty well, I think.
Not sure if you're gonna see this, but i think it would be really interesting if you made a video about arg's from tiktok like "stuck in my room".idk but i feel like your voice would really compliment it.i saw someone do an iceberg about arg's on reddit and i think your commentary would be really interesting .
Thank you for telling me there is no jumpscares I've been scared enough and whenever any type of cursed video plays I get paranoid.
loved this ..i need a pt 2
Alan Tutorial had always scared me, idk why but just the way he sounds find even when somethings clearly not fine and continues on as if everything is normal scares me. like imagine someone have extreme diarrhea on your carpet and acts as if they didn't have gut wrenching, toilet clenching, hot headed, mean and not-so-clean diarrhea on your carpet, you'd be scared and freaked the fuck out.
Alan Tutorials freaked me out in particular because the little white room he's trapped in for the last half is almost exactly like this thing my elementary school had as a punishment. I went to a public school that had a special needs program. The special needs program advertised itself as a friendly, welcoming, and caring group that'll help your autistic child flourish in elementary school. When in reality, they were abus!ve. When you misbehaved, got upset, argued, fell asleep in class, or do anything they didn't like, the teachers would drag you into this room called the Intervention room. It was a blank, white room with padding on the walls. It was designed to basically be sensory deprivation. The room had two corners and a closet sized lockable room called the Isolation Booth. That isolation booth looks EXACTLY like the room Alan is trapped in around the end of his tutorials. Almost picture perfect, aside from him actually being allowed to have stuff in there. I wasn't even allowed shoes.
TL;DR: Alan Tutorials gives me PTSD.
For those wanting more content like Salad Fingers, I can't recommend "INTERFACE" enough.
You talking about the rocking-chair video just unlocked and hidden memory of my brother showing it to me when I was a kid
The fact that I skipped an ad at the beginning and then got 2 unskippable ads should be on this iceberg.
No jump scares thank you
