She’s got a wonderful voice, I was reluctant to listen - it’s a difficult aria, not many “Wagnerian” sopranos are around, she’s excellent!

I reiterate Auguštan, has all the talent and virtuosity to become a top soprano. This rendition of Tannhäuser's aria Dich, teure Halle, Elisabeth, is I perfect example. Much more difficult than the Puccini's arias she has competed on, which demonstrate to a higher level her potential.

Good singer, but sounds tentative and under-energized here. This aria needs full-throttle heroism, but her passiveness and bland, easy-going approach makes me suspect she is too light for this repertoire. She sounds as if she is singing the cabaletta of ‘Dove sono’ rather than Wagner. She should study Nilsson for starters, gloriously hair-raising, and also Rysanek and others. Still, gorgeous voice, musical, intelligent, charismatic, beautiful. The boring conductor might be partly to blame?
