So here a small breakdown of the team of 5 : - The warper , aka whoever has Micaiah - The dancer , Sedrall but I slap him Sigurd so he moves with no limitations - The debuffer , aka whoever has Corrin - The aoe dancer , aka whoever has Byleth - The DPS , aka whichever unit you have that can kill pretty fast , either with 3 houses ring , Lyn , etc.
Damn. You know, at no point in my game did I think that I was in a position to one-round the boss, so I thought warp was wasted(most of my units were under the average for their respective str and mag), and that was on hard. I just used them to snipe thieves with items. I cannot imagine being able to do it in Maddening. And then here we are with people making it look trivial.
Should have used a dex tonic before to even further increase the rate. Tonics honestly seem super underrated. Sometimes the speed of the unit is going to be hard to manipulate due to weight, but you can ALWAYS get a speed tonic. Hp may be low sometimes but you can EASILY give a +5 HP tonic which can push a unit over the edge. If you plan on getting Anna a lot of kills on certain maps, you should definitely use a luck tonic on her. I honestly kinda wish that tonics where talked about more
I finished the game and this chapter yesterday and i had nooo idea how to beat it I warped all of my units from the right to the others on the left to be muuuch faster and stopped the thiefs from opening the door haha funny to see that u can actually skip all of this, will keep this in mind... but the chests 🥲
After wanting to do this map normally for my 2nd playthrough I never want to do it that way ever again I really dislike this maps design. Timerra and Alcryst hard carried the right side due to the number of wyvern knight reinforcements and left side being Rosado and Kagetsu carrying. I think I severely underrated Timerra at first and probably will use her every run I do due to dodgy bulky speedy unit that can do a lot of damage, I think overall after my second playthrough I think a lot less of Ivy due to her really really needing Lyn but flying really carries her and had to feed her magic dust while never had to for Anna who still out performed her. There is a lot of really good units with certain builds and a lot of different ways to play the game that makes this game really fun to replay if not purely cheesing every map and want to try running Diament but on Wyvern knight and Celine next run.
Wow your Timerra has 36 spd? Mine has like 30 and this was with Tiki so I guess I got kinda unlucky there. She's still pretty good tho, just lacks a bit of consistence. Anyways great video! I'm doing my first ever maddening run and I may have to use the Warp strat for this chapter so this helped me a lot. Thanks!
Learning so much about the game is frustrating because now I realize how sub-optimal everything I've done is and it makes me want to start over. That's probably the worst aspect of Fire Emblem for me so far: you have all kinds of mechanics that let you experiment with a map, but if you screw up with your character builds you're stuck with it until the end of the run. It's almost worse than ironman because you're stuck with the inefficiency of that character. Like a splinter in your mind driving you mad. It's just not a good feeling. At least in an iornman run a character that dies just stays dead.
Same lmao, my first maddening run on Engage was very bad overall. Some maps took way too long and the finale was needlessly hard because I only had 3 reliable units, the rest struggled to deal over 10 damage.
This is basically how I did it too, except I took one extra turn to kill the units in the middle room and loot the left chest. But I really don't how to do this normally. Does the reinforcements ever stop?
Warp range seems whack compared to 3 houses, I wanted to teleport someone over a wall in an online map and it didn’t even have the range to go like 6 spaces 🤣

Bismix: OR YOU COULD THE WARP STAFF!
Iced Coffee Gaming: Perhaps you can. And this is how that works:
Chapter 20 is probably the most misleading map of all time, it gives you the impression that it’s warp skippable then the reinforcements blow you up

Would you like some gin to go with your tonic sir?
Sick setup coffee

Aw hell yeah I'm gonna rewarp rush the shit out of every map.
Why are all my guys so underleveled???

Celine has been slapping for me on mage nite with Lucina ring

I second sealed her at 20 and used 2 speedwings on her I think

Tried it out didn't have a instakiller but managed to survive 3 turns with Lyn clones lool

They did for me but I had to tank like 30 enemy units using bond shield/fire

I definitely got bogged down by reinforcements
I'm not really a fan of warp strategies, feels too cheesy
Wonder why ppl play on maddening if all they do is cheese the game? Just play on normal
Warp strat doesn't break maddening, it's not viable on most maps. I used it here as a demo, didn't use it once up to this point on my 2nd run.
Normal is kinda boring cause it's too easy
You're right why even play the game. Thank you for your valuable wisdom king Im burning my copy as we speak 🙏
"Why play the game if you're just gonna have fun?"
Oh, first time playing a strategy game?
