Nippon Steel confirms to Pittsburgh's Action News 4 that executives of the Japanese steelmaker are in Pittsburgh this week. It won't comment on a Japan Times report that Nippon Steel executives hope to meet with elected officials to promote the company's deal to acquire Pittsburgh-based U.S. Steel.
