Good to see someone with great practical knowledge of what he is talking about.
Bought a VS TriPower setup for my 327 SBC in 2008 and worked perfectly out-of-the-box; jets were even right...
Thanks --That is how they work if done correctly. Charlie
AWESOME video Charlie! Thanks a ton for this valuable information... Happy Trails, Doug
Charlie, thanks for the video on 2G Secondary Carb, my 3X2 setup on my Pontiac 347 works great.
What got my attention were those aluminum base plates, when I get myself a tri power intake I'm getting a set of those bad boys and his rebuild kitsch with the unique float seats! Now that I'm gunning 2 jobs full time I'll be able to afford it without scrapping on pennies as a 20 yr old. Haha!
Thanks a lot of great info and advice.
Is there a return spring & ball under the pump mechanism?
Thanks for the video buddy I have a question why does my carb leak under the carburetor to the intake manifold
Buen maestro explica muy bien
this is a great video. I am currently working on a tri-power set up for my brother's 1980 Corvette. He bought a Fenton 3x2 intake and 3 2G carbs. The end carbs are 7008597. The center( primary) is a 703177 . All 3 carbs have #52 jets. I had no idea about how to set up the end carbs. Can I leave the power valves in or MUST they be removed? Same with the idle bleeds. None had accelerator pump linkage rods. I have them ordered. All 3 have the little vent over the pump well. Are these going to work or should I just cut our loss and find other carbs? Your video is a big help but now I'm kind of lost. Thanks.
Charlie. That was a great video. I just subbed to your channel. My carb leaks around the inlet area. I’ll have to see if I’m missing a gasket
Someone asked about pimary carb vs secondary carb, we all still want to know what u mean
The secondary roch carbs on the ends are just dumpers (no power valves - no idle circuits- and use special bases that are air tight when closed. These setups run a progressive linkage.
El carburador lansa explosiones yo lo limpié pero ahora está haciendo explosiones subiendo que sera
Are VS fuel jets listed by wire # or by the actual inch size ?
Please show how to install the torsion spring on the rear or front Rochester carb Throttle shaft.
that number of squeezes to wear this carburetor
I have 66 tri power & I hear the best way to tune them is with a vacuum gauge is there a vid I can watch for that?
It's leaking from the part u mentioned at 10:57 from the screw once i shut it off it starts leaking
Hi Charlie I had a question my cam actuator leaks right from the screw where you screw it on do you have any info and why is it leaking fuel. thank you any help will help
No return spring for the pump?
I only use the return spring on the primary carb. The base springs on the secondary carbs give you a positive return and make your linkage easier to push. cp
@@charlesprice7897 what do u mean by primary carbon or secondary carb?
have you guys ever done 1 barrel monojet carb conversion to secondary carbs
Great video Charlie. I am rebuilding a Rochester 2 B carb and there was no steel check ball in the pump check valve. Does every carb have one? What does it do and should I put a ball in there?? Thanks for you help and thanks for sharing.
Every 2g roch. needs a steel check ball under the t-bar and spring.
@@charlesprice7897 I thought so. But when I took this carb apart, there was no ball. I guess the other guy dropped the ball and never noticed. Thanks for the info.
@@AndysDogHouseSometimes it gets stuck you need to take the tee and the spring out And spray some WD-40 or comparable lubricant and let it sit for a bit then turn it over and lightly tap the back of the housing And it should fall out.
Hi Charlie. I followed you along when I rebuilt my Rochester 2B carburetor and it went well. When I installed it on my motor, It revved really high. I backed off the fast idle screw so it is not even toughing and it RPM's never came down. Do you have any idea what went wrong? Thanks
And who are these kits purchased through ?
You can purchase kits from my online catalog-- pt# r-101 sb
I have a Rochester 2GM, the fuel will not flow freely from the bowl to the accelorator pump with the check ball removed. I assume the pathway is clogged based on the amount of junk in the little filter in the bowl. Suggestions on how to clean it?
Send me a picture of the passage you are saying is plugged. You don't need the ball in the bottom of the pump well but you do need the ball and spring under the fuel cluster.
What’s your email address?

Excellent video as far as information. Terrible video because you shot it in portrait mode, not landscape - at 1080P no less!!!!! There is no way to watch this for detail. Please! In the future, shoot in landscape mode and your viewers will thank you a lot more! Your technical info, and your delivery are far better than most of the other vids on this subject, but it's very hard to watch because of the way you shot it. I still give it a 9 of 10 rating!
1080P HUH!!!
