That's not just Sydney being off form and losing by a few kicks, I don't think teams in the bottom 8 have lost by that margin this year? Earlier in the year they also pounced on Geelong at GHMBA. You'd be silly to not consider them to at least be a threat to teams who are tipped to win the flag

Don’t get me wrong, Port are timing their run nicely, but there are so many teams that could win it, the top 11-12 teams are so even this season. Essendon were third a few weeks ago and are now 9th and bouncing back again. Hawthorn, but for the two losses against Port and the Giants they should never have dropped, would be top 4. Lions, Dogs, Cats, Port, Swans could all still win it but like Bucks said all have had a great form and copped shellacking this year.
Collingwood is basically 2 games out of the top 8 and with carlton and hawthorn having relatively easy games in the last 2 rounds i cant see them making it...
