- According to my estimations, I have about 4 years of violin experience under my belt. It has been sporadic though: 2.5 years in middle school, 1 year in high school, maybe a half year at the start of college and a few months in 2021.
In this video I'm working through the following books:
Carl Flesch Scale System
Melodious Double Stops
Kruetzer 42 Studies
Suzuki Book 7
Hi Alicia, I also picked up my violin in my 40s, having only played in 2nd grade - and could not believe how vulnerable I felt as an adult taking lessons from another adult. I wish I had kept up with it, but sadly I did not. So, good for you for doing this! I'm sure it's not easy playing for an audience but I really enjoyed it. You are an inspiration!
I absolutely love when adults are passionate about learning new things! Like me! ❤
I know nothing about musical instruments, but you improved over this hour. Hang in there. Blessings
Thanks for sharing your passion with us! It’s awesome when you have something you pursue with dedication 👍 Good luck
I'm trying to learn to read arabic, and I often feel I'm not improving at all, although I know that persistence when one feels inadequate is where the calmness to enjoy (and not be vain about it) the beauty of the notes, or the right pronunciation, grows. I enjoyed this video, thank you :)
Great job! 👍
