I owe this man a lot. Many magical times as a result of his music. I'm still completely into his music, but it was so much more fun when you could share it with others back in the day. Always a good vibe.
Thanks for this - he's looking good, and has a very clear memory for someone who I assumed had been stoned throughout the 1970s! The only factual error was the Orchestral Tubular Bells. I remember going to the Kelvin Hall gig. It was the Scottish National Orchestra, I think, and it was fabulous.
At 03:00 when talks about the USA white vs black music thing, Hugh Padgham said the same thing happened when Phil Collins uses the Earth Wind and Fire horns on his solo album.
Just cant believe that is Steve Hillage. The man is a legend, but I can imagine going into an ironmongers shop (for example) , and him being behind the counter.Totally ordinary guy !..
yeah production was as has already said under par but id like to add i thourght your questioning was top notch, an as a huge fan of steve hillage really interesting imvho,
No, I think he fights for the other team. if not under Christianity, he was certainly raised as such and he remains spiritually positive through his musical career.
Good grief. He looks terrific for his age, he's aging like Eric Johnson. Must sleep in a wheelbarrow of cold cream or something. Proof playing guitar for years keeps you young.

A very talented musician who can put his mind to any type of music. Steve really knows his way around the musical forest.
Thank you so much for this interview .

A Legend
Archetypal English boffin and gentleman. As the poster boy for Hippie psychedilic rock the Punks had bounty hunters out for his head. Heavy times.
I love Green
Nothing like it. A masterpiece (-:
@reservenavn Yeah..the Hill aged very well. Must be 60 now.

your words are so true indeed. The Nik Turner one was a better room, cheers for watching. SIB
nice one!!!
I like how Steve explained the occult / alien inspiration for the name 777... he is probably also a disciple of Aleister Crowley like Jimmy Page?

Amazing what a bottle of Just For Men 'Touch of Grey' can do, huh? ;)
yes I,m having trouble understanding what Steve Hillage says. The interviewer speaks well though.

Love Hillage's guitar based work , but the sound quality and camera angle in this video are wretched. Howard White,
The King of psychedelic guitar music appears to have become a bit of a nerd. Revisit LSD, Steve ! Work through some stuff with Simon Posford
Its called growing up mate.
all that psychedelia shizzle must have done wonders for his looks,
he definitely does not look as old as his age, the jammy sod ;)
Ah you´re american.My condolences.
