Thanks for making this video I am doing a 1975 Pontiac trans Am and just now looking at installing the exact ones. I didn't see the part number you had for those could you give me the part number please. I know the springs are adjustable but are the shocks adjustable also?
Very cool. Very eager to see more videos on the Trans Am. Next year I hope to do a series on my 1979 Y84 Special Edition "Bandit" Trans Am W72 400/4-speed project. Are you rebuilding the subframe as opposed to the full chassis swap like you said in an earlier video? I'm going to do a full rebuild on my subframe, but will add the subframe connectors to give it more strength, while retaining the way the car was built in December, 1978 in Norwood, Ohio.
Yea I ended up steering away from the full chassis. Going with restoring the subframe instead. Crazy, I almost bought a 79 special edition recently, the gold one. It ended up going to auction though :(
So, how was your ride after you installed these shocks. I put regular shocks and I still feel every little bump.i want a nice ride with no squeaking and rattling. My suspension is totally rebuilt.
Hey man I have the same set up basically. How much strut do you have showing? I have 2-3” lowering coilovers and only got about two fingers width of strut showing. Curious what’s truly needed
Thank youuuu!!! I’ve looked all over on what to do to install these on my 81 Camaro!
Hey glad I could help!!
Thank you for the heads up! 🥂

Did you put their socks or coilovers on the rear?

Great Vid why only upper control arms and not bottoms.
Where is the part number?
Did you use their shocks/coilovers for the rear?
No I have bilstein shocks and DSE lowering leafs
Turn the rebound and compression knobs down.
Shock can be expanded or collapsed very easily by hand then.
I keep reading that there are modifications that have to be made .. but it looks like all you did was remove the bolt retaining clips.
Yea I did not make any modifications. They just fit right in
