I could still use it. I don't get to backpack a lot but would expect it would last maybe 100 nights. It likely depends on the winds and sun experienced. I would just keep checking for damage of any kind to the tape and tieoff points as those are the key elements. Of course, if you don't take care of it all bets are off as polycryo will catastrophically fail if torn/punctured so if you just jam it in your pack with stakes or snag it on a branch while unfurling you're likely going to have to bail. As for hammocking, I believe those generally are larger tarps so if you used the full size sheet in an A-frame like the article I linked in the description it may work out for that.

How long did your tent last or hold up? Could you use this a a tarp for a hammock on backpacking trips?
