Fish Yanker, I took your advice on the fans, bought me a couple of them, and my grandson and I are heading out tomorrow to try our luck. God bless you and America.
I love my little fan, helps a lot. If you can make some shade that helps a lot too umbrella or some trees. I hope y'all catch some good ones. Yes sir God bless America and you and yours. Stay safe 😊
@FishYanker Thank you. My grandson and I enjoyed the day today. Caught 7 nice brim. I do believe I'm going to take that advice on the umbrella as well. Lord, have mercy my skull got baked today. This makes our 3rd trip out on the river. God bless. 👍
I've got to get one of those fans. I bought an el cheapo from Dicks sporting goods, but it sounds like an airplane, rattling on my boat and doesn't blow out that much air. I could have sure used a good one last Tuesday. It was 115 degrees with the heat index. When I got out there at daybreak, it was already sweltering and by 10 AM, I couldn't stand it anymore. Most of the fish were about 10-15 feet down at that point and I seriously considered joining them for a swim, If I thought I could get back on my boat without risking drowning LOL. Surface temp was 90 degrees! It's no wonder the fishing was so slow. I didn't feel like eating the rest of the day either.
@TNAROHfan Man, I hear that, I bought the small one like fishyanker has, but I personally needed more air, so I purchased the bigger one, and I am sooooo happy with it. Good fishing partner, God bless.
All that time off for surgery and you're back at like you have never missed a beat. Always fun watching you catching fish. I'm guessing that the grandsons are enjoying their summer vacation. Keep that fan on high speed and your line tight. Catch you on the next one.👍❤️🥵
Yes sir, doing good so far on the surgery. Glad you are enjoying the videos. Yes the grandsons are busy with sports and lots of other things but I am trying to get them on a fishing trip together. We will see what happens. It is getting hot but I try to stay in the shade. The fan helps a lot. See you soon. Thank you Ron.
Yes sir we got a lot of rain up North Arkansas. Our rivers are rising now. Flooded quite a few creeks and rivers that feed into the White River. She is starting to rise here. Cool down for a minute but now it's hot again.
Went out yesterday evening and morning today. Caught some good gills and pumpkinseeds. Got drenched both times, but on the way home rain stopped, no rain at home. That’s summer in south Michigan 👍
Nice! Sounds like you got some good ones in the rain 🌧️ some times it's worth staying. I will fish in the rain if they're biting good that's for sure. But I run when the lightning starts. I don't want to be a lightning rod hanging out there in the middle of the lake. 😂 Glad you're getting some gills, gill getter.
You're on em again, nice bluegills! I really like the area your fishing, nice and peaceful. Similar to Caddo Lake. Can't wait to do so.e of that myself! Hook & Hold! God Bless!
If he'd put light braid on his reel with a leader, he could sit at his house and fish that whole swamp, I think. 🤯 In all seriousness though, I'm impressed with that little Shakespeare rod, particularly the tip. It's got just the right whip to help those casts. I've got a St Croix that is comparable. It will cast a country mile with no effort and almost no weight on it, but I don't particularly like feel of the handle. It's too thin for my liking compared to what I am used to. Very sensitive though, but ridiculously overpriced for panfish. If I knew what I know now, I would have rather have a handful of those Shakespeare's in the 7 foot range for Bluegill fishing. I would get a couple, but I already have too many rods as it is. Live and learn I guess.
😂 yes sir, these micro series Shakespeare rods are pretty nice, especially for the price. But I have to say, You can never have too many rods 😄 🤣 You never know when you might brake one or mess one up. Got to have a backup for every rod you already have. 😂 🎣
Another great video man. Love that brim fishing. I'm up in north Arkansas and it looks like you have a lot of water heading your way. Fish while you can
Thank you. Yes sir they got a lot of rain up your way for sure. the White River is starting to rise now. Been chasing them as much as possible. Thank you.
Looks like a good time. I’m hoping to go this afternoon and find a place that all the rain last week didn’t mess up. Probably going to have to find somewhere besides the WRR to wet a hook.
Yes sir good fun. I've been scouting some new spots myself. This cooler weather we're having right now will help the crappie to bite too. I may have to find a good mess. hope you catch some good ones 😊
Well, we ended up at the old Gator Pond. Managed 1 bass on a plastic worm and one crappie on a jig while trolling. If a person had time, they might could figure them out.
Thank you. I appreciate you watching. I know Gators are in this area that I'm at but I have not spotted one yet. When I go to South Arkansas towards the Arkansas River there's loads of gators down there.
@@FishYanker You're kidding? Strange world. We also have a Cache river in far southern Illinois that looks almost exactly like this. It's just really hard to get to and it's pretty much only Kayak and Canoe friendly though, but good fishing. Have you ever had a chance to go over to Reelfoot lake in Tennessee? Your river reminds me a lot of Reelfoot from the fishing I have seen you do. It's my favorite all-time lake for Crappie and Bluegill. All my personal bests come from there and it's perfect for smaller boats too.
Wow that is cool. That's exactly what I catch here is crappie and bluegill. got to love it. This one's pretty tough to get through where I'm fishing with a motor but it's not too bad with trolling motor. I need to try that lake in Tennessee. I plan on doing some traveling to fish some popular lakes soon. We will see how things go. Appreciate you watching. And hope you catch some new P.B.s this summer.
Way cool! But about these #4 hooks: are ya afraid yer gonna hook into a big cat? My compliments on your casting skills. It is much harder to hit that spot with a bobber than a plug. BTW, that's pretty good sound when you can hear the cicadas tuning up. But that also means no breeze. You hadda be cookin.
Thank you. Hoping to catch a crappie here and there also with the bigger hooks. Yes sir, It was pretty hot but the more I stayed in the shade and used my fan the cooler I was.
Yank!!! Nice mess of bluegills. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!!
Thank you. I appreciate you watching Proud Papaw 😊

You're welcome Chuck, hopefully the recent storms haven't hit you too hard. From what I have heard the little red river was running really hard. 👋🎣

Fish Yanker,
First time I have watched you, but happy I did, love catching bluegill and Redear,
I’ll be watching a whole lot more.

@@FishYankerI sure did
😊
What kind of reel are you using?
Abu Garcia Maxx 10 light spinning reel. I have a Amazon link below the video in the description box if you want to check it out.
Fish tanker could you do a quick video of how you did that trolling motor mount.
I have a video of my boat set up. I'll have to look it up and put the link down below.
@@FishYanker thank you very much, I dream of fishing that river one day.
Yes Sir 🙂
What kind of trolling motor is that you got with that long handle
It's a older Minn kota motor with an extension handle.
I think you can look up on Amazon and find an extension handle for your model possibly.
Thanks man. I really enjoy your videos
Yes sir, appreciate you watching 😊
Been watching for a while now, i really enjoy you simple fishing methods...question: are gators bad down there in your area?
Thank you. I appreciate you watching. I know Gators are in this area that I'm at but I have not spotted one yet. When I go to South Arkansas towards the Arkansas River there's loads of gators down there.
If you don’t mind me asking , what’s the name of the lake your fishing on ?
Cache River in Central Arkansas
