Nice opening, overview and commentary. Your videos are very nostalgic and remind me of watching the videogame shows on Saturday mornings as a kid. I remember renting this game and the movie at the same time. My parents watched the movie while I was huddled in my room, being anti social playing the game. I did end up watching the movie....eventually which was fun too. Awesome video!
Cornshaq you did a great job with this game. I really enjoyed the video and went back and finally beat this game once and for all. I almost beat it as a kid but couldn't figure out how to rescue Pugsley and going back to it now I've forgotten just how slippery the controls and collision detection really are.
This was a great video to watch. I had a lot of fun with this as a kid though I didn't finish it. I got to the end as a kid but couldn't figure out how to rescue Pugsley and haven't went back to it since. Not a great game by any means but I really had fun with it and will have to go back to it again and finish it once and for all even though it'll be pretty easy by then.
I'm a big Addams Family fan! I've never played this though. I have played the SNES version, but it's been a long time. And I think it's more decent and stuff, in my opinion anyway. I really enjoyed that little bit of art Sweetiegamer made, very impressive. Good job on another PiT Corn, keep it up!
Yeah I am so far behind but everything will be posted. I really hope by the end of september I will be caught up and it will be time for the Halloween videos.
Yeah; the collection and exploration was a good concept, but what killed this game for me was the slippery controls combined with the fact that there are limited continues with no save option. Very nice title card though!
I figured that I'd point this out but you didn't show some of the hidden rooms for massive amounts of money in the game. If you grab the water pail above the oven you can use it on the fireplace to put out the fire and enter a room there. Also in the armoire just before the door to the roof you can jump on top of that to enter a secret room too. Doing those would easily put you above the 1 Mil mark for cash early in the game.
It's always bugged the heck outta me that in this version of the game, you can't rescue Uncle Fester. He's reduced to a pathetic, 3-hit mini-boss you kill just before you fight Tully (who also annoys me 'cuz his sprite looks almost _identical_ to Gomez's in this game). Fester isn't mentioned anywhere within the game, *_& HE ISN'T EVEN MENTIONED IN THE FRICKIN' MANUAL._* There's _no_ excuse for Fester being excluded like that when you could save him in the _Turbo Grafx 16_ & *GAME BOY* ports of the game _&_ when he's such an integral part of the movie. It's also confusing for newcomers. Because his existence isn't mentioned whatsoever in either the game or the manual, people who were either first (or possibly even _only)_ exposed to Addams Family through this game would have absolutely no clue why Fester is attacking you, why he has a portrait in the gallery, why he's the second-to-last boss, or why he's hanging out with the family on the cover art as the game made him out to be a bad guy who tries to kill you any chance he gets.
This game suffers from the same problems as ghostbusters......same music......the entire time........never stopping. Who thought this would be a good idea?
I have to say those rats in the attic were pretty amazing. they could float over holes and apparently go through walls. Pretty awesome :)
Awesome.. Found this old classic from when I was a kid. I loved it but needed this walkthrough. Thanks Lol
One of my fav games from my childhood
Nice title card, interesting game and awesome play through!

Just discovered this channel and I love all the retro play throughs 😊

great to have you back I hope your feeling better!
OMG! I love this game! It's my childhood!
The Titlecard looks nice...man I loved the Addams Family. I was a big Fan of Gomez and Uncle Fester.
This game looks hard as hell! I liked the movie when I was kid, but I've never played the game. I did play Fester's Quest though :)

this is an underated gem on the nes
The swimming works better as long as your moving. It's when you try to swim straight up is when it's slow and clunky.

I have a feeling the mansion in “Luigi’s Mansion” took inspiration from the Addams estate featured in this game.
Yeah I am so far behind but everything will be posted. I really hope by the end of september I will be caught up and it will be time for the Halloween videos.
love your playthroughs. thanks!
good job cornshaq nice to have you back
Will you do the SNES version some time?
I wish they would have had more music variety here, too... that main theme was wearing on me fast.
Yeah; the collection and exploration was a good concept, but what killed this game for me was the slippery controls combined with the fact that there are limited continues with no save option.

Seems to me like the swimming section was designed with a turbo-fire controller in mind.
Wednesday: I WAS FROZEN TODAY!
He's already done Fester's Quest. Looks in his archives.
Very good CornShaq. Also very nice Title card. What is your opinion of the Addams Family on Sega Genesis
Yep I will for sure.
Hi Cornshaqgaming, can you do a play it through of Jurassic park for the nes
I realize it is kind of randomly asking but does anyone know of a good site to watch new tv shows online?
@Thaddeus Jad I would suggest flixzone. Just google for it :)
@Noe Jalen definitely, been using Flixzone for years myself =)
@Noe Jalen thank you, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :) I really appreciate it!!
@Thaddeus Jad Glad I could help =)
I think its better then this version by far and I played that version more as a kid.
This game also came out for the SE GA Master System. The MS version was better. better controls and less bugs over all.
The fourth crypt door is DEATH, right?
how did you manage this O.o
gg adams family
My goal is to do a video for every NES game possible.
god people should hate this not Fester's Quest. It is several years older and a ton better.
What do you think of the SNES version of this game?
Do Addams Family Values sometime?
Cornshaq come back and I’ll do your title cards!
AVGN would have a field day with this game.

Yeah if he still did those kind of videos.
SOOOO MUCH BACK TRACKING.
I hate Ocean forever now.
This game suffers from the same problems as ghostbusters......same music......the entire time........never stopping.
Who thought this would be a good idea?
Gotta love those painfully bland licensed game with long repetitive corridors, wonky controls and that same song playing over and over again. Eesh.
Its crappy and its kooky, a stupid piece of poopy, I'd rather eat my dookie, it makes me wanna pee
