Reparations in any case are paid by government. Apartheid reparations must be paid by South African government. TRC in fact recommended reparations to apartheid victims. SA government has not paid in full. If they need reparations beyond what TRC recommended then they must approach South African government. Andile has a wish that will never be fullfilled. This need for land is not going to happen at least in the next 100 years. For starters the issue is not about land but a citizenry not geared for progress. It boils down to culture and you find the majority of SA are not in that frame of mind. Ordinary citizens are not willing to sacrifice their time and a few rands a month to work toewards a specific goal. It all boils down to priorities and the popular culture is around instant gratification, booze and a good time. my problem is that white guys keep on running away from the fact that they illegally dispossessed the blacks and their land. In the first place on what did the white people establish what they obtain today? is it on a legitimately acquired land or on stolen land? Did they dispossess blacks of the land or not? My point is that yes they worked hard to establish businesses they have but what they say they have established was established on a stolen property. Its like a thief breaking into one's house and claim to have worked hard to have brought in his/her belongings into the property that he is not entitled to. So they work hard onto the land that they stole.

Systems were put in place for you to be 'succesful' by the apartheid government, you were in the right place, have access to great supply chains, access to capital (I was in banking and trust me banks are reluctant to give business loans to people of color), more importantly your customers have the economic power to make sure your business is successful.

As much as l am for the upliftment of the previous disadvantage, whites, coloureds and Indians have the same right to live in this country. As much as he would wish the other colour groups would disappear it will not happen. Majority of black farmers who got land and some very lucrative farms from previous white owners through land claims were unsuccessful and land now just used for sustaining farming. I don't understand why White people only believe they can relate to black people through the ANC that they decided to support instead of the PAC strange. Andile has a wish that will never be fullfilled. This need for land is not going to happen at least in the next 100 years. For starters the issue is not about land but a citizenry not geared for progress. It boils down to culture and you find the majority of SA are not in that frame of mind. Ordinary citizens are not willing to sacrifice their time and a few rands a month to work toewards a specific goal. It all boils down to priorities and the popular culture is around instant gratification, booze and a good time. We can blame apartheid for this general apathy, bantu education annd all the rest of it, but at the end of the day the culture has to change or someone has to change this thing of people prioritising booze and a nice time at the expense of self improvement. I myself am not immune from thissituation as I am not educated, I didnt work hard and I am today unemployed or am rather informally employed and earn peanuts. I cant buy drinks for potential girlfriends due to my past laziness and decisions that were based on laziness and a victim mentality

So I watched this discussion with interest. Any white person over the age of fifty who denies that they were a beneficiary of the apartheid is being disingenuous. Conversely they were also victims of the propaganda fed to them, leading to an unfounded belief that they were in some way superior to other races. What I got out of the system was a first class education to the detriment of other races.
