Lotus Exige Cup 380 w/ Decatted Exhaust - Best Sounding Exige V6 Ever?

- I saw and recorded this marvellous Lotus Exige Cup 380 last Saturday during a track day at Monza Circuit. It's an even more track-ready version of the Exige Sport 380 and it only weighs 1.056 kg (2330 lbs), so around 60 kg less than the Sport. The Cup 380 is powered by a 3.5-liter supercharged V6 that sends 375 horsepower to the rear wheels through a manual gearbox.
Listen to it being driven on track and equipped with a full decat exhaust system!

I came here to spot the Toyota Engine comment. Never fails. The block is Toyota but modified by Yamaha and Lotus.
@@darrenporter1850The whole engine is Toyota. The only things that change are the tune, intake, exhaust, and in some versions the added supercharger (which is a Harrop supercharger).
Man engine is fxxx Toyota Shiz but tuned is beast lotus engineering specialist is same lotus vs Toyota serious.

Can't get over how gorgeous this thing looks. It's just as sexy as it sounds.
It would be perfect if it revved higher!
It's a neat sound, similar to Alfa Romeo's old V6. But that revving range leaves me with a feeling of dissatisfaction, it's almost painful not to hear a couple more thousands of RPMs.
They probably could have but then they were trying to shake off their reputation for poor reliability. On the whole they have done that.

Ummmm,what does it being supercharged have to do with it revving? the 380 actually revs less because of the smaller pulley on the charger

0Epic0 look up Jeff Lutz's camaro and tell me again how a road legal race car can't be possible there are a few road legal sequential gear box cars on the market..
Obviously now after watching the video with headphones I can hear there's no gear whine so it's an actual manual 6 speed.
